Thirteen Days later:

Dove's P.O.V

As soon as I left my room I knew mom was right. It really was hot. And I was wearing too many layers.

I removed my cardigan and handed it to the maid and made my way downstairs.

My mom looked alarmed at my sight.

I know. I know.

I look terrible but that was what I was supposed to look like.

"Dove, honey..."

"Mom."I held up my hand for her to stop "I'm okay like this."

She seemed to understand, Because she nodded and continued her work.

I had to meet the Thompsons.

That had been my usual routine for the last thirteen days.

Half a minute later I was knocking at their door. The maid opened it for me.

"Welcome, Ma'am."I smiled at her and made my way to the living room.

"I wanted to call but couldn't, I had to make some security arrangements we didn't know if they were bugging our phones too."

I stopped at the door on hearing Mr. Thompson's voice.

"How's Edwin?"He asked.

After a little while of silence.

"WHAT? He was supposed to be there. Did you try to get his location?"He demanded.

I stood there with tears in my eyes.

"God...Oh no...My son..."I heard him disconnect the call.

"Mr. Thompson?"He turned to face me.

"Oh...God.Dove look..."

"It's okay, Is...is Edwin...?"I left my sentence incomplete. Tears were pooling out of my eyes.

"I don't know...really.God...What have I done..."

                                                      **************************

I've been lying on my bed for the past three hours. I feel nauseous and exasperated at the same time.

It seems like nothing is left in my life now. Not anymore.

There was nothing before Edwin and nothing after him.

My life is just a blur.

What if he really is dead?

I let tears fall freely on my cheeks.

Edwin...

As soon as his name struck my mind I felt nauseous and had to get up in order to go the bathroom and empty my stomach.

Tears were pouring down my cheeks,My eyes were blood red and now I was belching like a maniac.

"Dove?"I heard Lindsay behind me.

I wiped my mouth and turned to look at her.

"We need to see a doctor, you don't look good."I shrugged because I was too tired to say anything.

"I mean it, Dove. We're going get your things!"She held me by my shoulders.

"OK...Whatever,"

If there is no Edwin, there is no Me.

So it would be better if I die.
