oh the tragedy of young love.
a simple sentence, and how my heart breaks for you.
we were once intermixed pools of adoration.
we would pour it into champagne glasses and drink it like water.
how i long to taste the sweetness,
oh how i long to hold your hand and never let go.
i suppose you hand got tired,
or perhaps you got tired of drinking.
because i now lay alone,
with no hand to hold.
in a room full of empty champagne glasses.
