It was officially Christmas Day and everyone was coming to Cleveland for it. And by everyone I mean Brendon, Sarah, their dogs, mom, and dad. I decided to get over the fact that they were divorced. After all, we're still a family. The fact that I've only been engaged for 17 days is crazy. It feels like forever. However, Colson and I have decided to have our engagement party on New Year's Eve whereas that way we're all together. We still haven't announced that we are engaged because we both wanted to let it sink for a bit. The day after we got engaged the girls and I had a performance so I just gave Colson the ring to look after.

I leaned back into Colson's chest and watched as Casie grabbed the first present from Colson. Her eyes lit up once she saw a coloring book along with some coloring pens and pencils.
"Thank you, daddy!"
"Anytime, princess. I believe it's my queen's turn next"
"Ok. Who's should I open?"
"Open Brendon's"
"OK, which one is that?"
"Mine is this green wrapped one"
Brendon handed me their present and I thanked him. It was a square wrapped present. I knew Sarah had wrapped because it was all neat. Brendon was never really good and wrapping presents. I pulled the paper off and saw the prettiest photo frame. It was silver/gold ombre type photo frame and there was a picture of Brendon and me inside.
"Brendon, where is this picture from?"
"That was us from when you and the girls started out. I pulled you aside for a separate photo as Morgan and Andrea did with their families. Think of it as a reminder that no matter if my mom and your dad are together, we'll always be brother and sister. Because, I love you so much, Rose. You've been through so much and you've out come out stronger"
By now I had tears coming falling down my face.
"Brendon, this is so sweet. And the words were so kind. Thank you, brother"
