Lost But Not Forgotten

CHAPTER 7

Nora's P.O.V

Destiny called me for shopping. It's simply because i love shopping. It's the most exciting thing to do and my fashion choices are the best. That's why i'm going with her. So we go to the nearest mall and start looking for office clothes.

I find a dark blue off shoulder top with a skin tight black skirt, it looks simple but i know Destiny will definitely like it.

"Hey, look what i found" i say to her.

"Nice! I love it..it's totally my type" She replies and goes to try it on.

After shopping we go to her place. She makes chocolate milkshake and we drink in harmony,

"Mmmmm...This is good. Where did you learn it from?" I ask taking another sip.

"Internet, as usual" She replies smiling. As she walks to wash her glass, she holds the side of the table firmly.

"Des, you okay?" I ask her. Before she could reply i hear a loud thob and see that she has fallen over. I quickly run to her and see she has fainted. Picking her up, i lay her on the couch. I dial the ambulance and call Katey.

When the ambulance arrives, they take her to the hospital and i go in my car.

In the hospital, the doctors do a quick checkup and takes her in a room. After a few minutes Katey comes by my side.

"Nora, what happened?"

"Des fainted and i didn't know what to do. So i called the ambulance, i really hope she's okay" I say in horror.

20 minutes later, the doctor comes out with a dim expression.

"You guys her friends?" He asks us.

"Yes doc, tell us what happen" Katey says.

"She is not okay but she can get better. Do you guys know any incident that happen before this that caused her to get an operation?" He asks.

I see Katey thinking hard then finally she answers.

"Yeah, when she was in Australia. She...her family had an accident and they didn't survive but she did. And later had a surgery in the heart" Katey stopped.

"So then it makes it all clear. Her heart is very weak. She needs an immediate operation done. If not then i don't think she can survive. It's all because of the first surgery she wasn't completed" He said finishing.

He calls some of the nurses and takes them in the room explaining them something. Katey and i go in the room where Destiny is.  We see the away and stand near her.

"Hey guys" She says smiling mildly.

"Hi. So how you doing?" I ask.

"It's pretty good. But hope i make the surgery" She says.

"Hey don't say that, it's gonna be just fine" Katey says.

"Yep hopefully. Can you guys do me a favor?" She asks.

"Sure anything" We say.

"Can you keep this a secret an not tell anyone. Especially Gabe and Patty"

"But why?"

"Just please"

"Okay, you take care and we know you are gonna make it through"

The doctor comes in and takes her away. All we can do now is pray.
