Gabe's P.O.V
Having dancing in the rain made me feel great. It helped me break out of my seriousness and goofyness and feel the happiness evolving around me. Thanks to Destiny, i felt myself again for a few minutes. After our small hang over, Destiny pestered me on drying myself at her place and staying for dinner. I didn't want to stay but in this situation i had to. Again thanks to Destiny.
After a hot shower, i changed into a sweat shirt and pants that i always keep in the back of the car for these kind of situations. Going downstairs, i found Destiny heating up some food.
"You were really great back there" She says putting plates on the table.
"That just happens when i'm really interested in doing some crazy stuff not in any other places" I reply.
"Yeah, next time it rains, i'll come by at your place"
"Forget it. There's not going to be another next time" I scoff sitting by her side. Looking at the food i smile, it was white pasta.
"These remind me of my mom. She used to make pasta this way" I say digging up.
"That's great, at least i remind you of someone" She says taking a bite.
"Not you! The pasta" I say smirking.
"Yeah, whatever"
Finishing of the food, we decide that she would do the dishes and i would clean the table. Cleaning the table i check the clock, it was only 6:30pm. I could stay for a few more minutes. She would appreciate it. After all the chores, we sit on the couch, she looks at me for a few long seconds.
"What?" I ask .
"Can i ask you something?" She says seriously. Suddenly my heart starts to beat seven kilometers per second. I nod in agreement.
"Where are your parents? Like we've never met them" She asks curiously. I feel like someone threw a brick on my face. Noticing my silence, she signs.
"It's okay if you don't want to tell me anything. But remember if you need someone to talk to i'll always be here" She says holding my hand in assurance.
"It's not like that. It's just that they are a complicated topic to speak about. I've only told Patty about them, it's not like i don't trust but it's so hard to open up when you are suppose to be the tough one"
"It's okay. Well..at first my parents also were a hard topic to talk about. Slowly everything gets back to normal. You won't believe this but it took me almost four years to get over the fact that they were no more. How about you open up and i'll tell one secret"
"You're such a crazy twiddle. Well if you really wanna know what happen then be prepared to get a heart attack" I say slowly. She just smiles and gestures me to keep on speaking.
"When i was given birth, i had parents who were really wealthy. They had everything needed to take care of a child. I was taken care of till i was at the age of three. Before my third birthday, my mum got pregnant with another child, it was a girl. Just three days before my third birthday she gave birth to her" I said facing the floor, i felt her hand get out of my hand and patted my back.
"Giving birth to Kelly, their business started to go down. They couldn't pay the bills properly, that's how bad it went. So finally, they couldn't afford two children, they decided to keep Kelly and send me away. Kelly was young so her expenses was not that much whereas i had more expenses so i was given away to my mother's friend who had no children.... I..I cried so much that night. Then that was it"
"I'm so sorry" Destiny said.
"Wait, it's not finished yet.....My aunt was a very cruel women that's why my uncle didn't want to give her children. My childhood was ruined by her. You know how women are cruel when they don't get love right? That's how cruel she was. My uncle helped me when she whipped me an stuff"
