Lost But Not Forgotten

CHAPTER 14

Destiny's P.O.V.

After a whole hour of doing makeup and getting the right shoes on, we finally managed to get ready. Closing the door behind me, we head towards to front beach. Arriving at the venue, we firstly admire the decorations.

The tent was coloured with royal blue, white and purple. Nice choice of colours. The flowers were almost everywhere. Not forgetting the lighting, there were lights and also lots and lots of candles, all of them were lit. Walking through the entrance, Katey spots Josh and goes over to him. Nora and i see Patty and Nora goes to him. At first, i thought of joining with either of the couples but then i didn't want to be third wheeling with either of them.

So i just decided to stand by a table...alone.

"Such a sadist... go look for Gabe"

"No way.. he must be somewhere.. i can't just go-"

I was cut off because of a sudden black out. What the hell! Everybody was just quite. What? How come?

Suddenly, all the candles started to light up, fast. Ok, now that's assuring. I wonder who threw the party? Didn't they fix proper lights. So much for the pretty decorations.

Then suddenly, the spot light hit me. Not literally, but was on me. What?....... Then out of nowhere, Gabe started approaching me with a white rose with him. What is going on? In the crowd i spot Katey and Josh giving them a WTF look and they just smile.

When Gabe reached me, he bend down on his knees. That's when i realised what was actually happening. He was proposing to me? More like a question.

"What is all this?" I asked him confused as hell.

"This my dear Destiny, is a official proposal. This rose is for you" He said and handed me the pretty rose.

"What?"

"Well the thing is, we have known each other for a long time. Right? Yeah. So i started having feeling for you and i didn't realise it until you finally opened up to me. I'll just get to the point...... I actually love you. It took a while for me to realise that shit but guess what i finally get it. I know, I've screwed up lot of times and i' really sorry. I just forget some important things when i'm with you. It's like when i'm with you, time stops and i feel like i'm home. Trying not to get so cheesy, i just want to clarify to you that i'm in love with you and nobody can change that fact. Will you be my girlfriend?" He finishes off. I was in a total shock. I blankly stared at him for a few seconds before i could say anything.

"Well?" He asked bringing me back to the conversation.

"You know, even though you didn't want to be cheesy, you were" I say laughing and trying to hold back my tears "I never thought you liked me, because you used to make fun of me and do things that irritated me. Even though, all shit we've been through i used to like you. Today you made me realise that i love you too...So i guess i will be your girlfriend" I finished off.

I couldn't hold back my tears, so i finally gave in and let it fall. Gabe got up and lunged at me suffocating me in a bear hug. I held him tightly and we stayed like that for a few minutes. After a few minutes, the crow started cheering and clapping wildly at us. I totally forgot about them.

We separated and the lights came back. Everyone scattered and started talking with each other. Gabe slid his hands onto mine and we walked towards our gang. All i could see was each of them smiling and giving us the eyes.

"Finally you two are together. I thought that would never happen" Katey said.

"You knew?" I asked looking at her.
