Lost But Not Forgotten

CHAPTER 10

Destiny's P.O.V

Reaching home, i quickly showered and got ready. Just as i was about to leave the house, when my phone started to buzz. It was Katey.

"Hey!" I say closing the door behind me.

"Where the hell are you? We are waiting for you" I sense her lying.

"Yeah right. You've just reached now. I'll be there in a few minutes" I say starting the car.

"OK"

After reaching there, we started to have random conversations. During dinner, everybody loved Nora's food.

"Girl, your cooking is great! Wanna teach me something" Katey says taking another serve of food.

"Well..that's exceptional. Take more" Nora says smiling at her work.

"Say, how about we go on a vacation?" Patty says finishing his juice.

"Vacation? Say What?" I ask confused.

"Yeah, it's been months since a great time. How about after Desty's company's party. Maybe, Friday we can go" Katey said.

"Yeah!" Everybody agreed.

"How about Saturday we go. Because i have a meeting on Friday" Gabe said.

"Ok, but how will we book a resort this fast?" I ask.

"Don't worry. I have a app which will allow us to book any resort in just no time" Nora said. I looked at Nora carefully thinking to go or not. Luckily, Gabe had a meeting on Friday because i had my doctor's checkup and i didn't want to lie to these guys.

After dinner, we had desert as cheese cake. Talking about the day , we finally decided to go home.

Next day was a very busy day. Since the anniversary party was the following day, everybody was busy with the preparations. On the other i was busy trying to figure out how i was suppose to say my speech when Ray interrupted me.

"Hey, Destiny! How it gong?" He asks.

"All good but trying to build up my people skills" I say. He then offers to help me out.

That afternoon when i reach home, i quickly do the chores and get a good rest for the party next day. Thinking about the party again i realize that i don't know what to wear.

Fishing through my cabinets and draws i find a dark purple off shoulder dress which is body fitting with matching black heels. Finally! Tomorrows going to be lit!

Waking up early had me getting a good start. Doing my bed i went to brush. Looking at my face i regretted not doing a face mask earlier. Too late. Feasting down my cereal, i went to get showered. Letting the hot water cover me, i slowly washed my body and the stage fright off my body.

Getting out of the shower, i changed into my dress. Looking at myself i felt satisfied but only one thing was left, that was my makeup. Now i really wished i had Nora with me. Trying to do it by myself, i finished. Taking a last look at myself, i went downstairs, closing the door behind me i saw Gabe waiting in my garage. Surprised, i thought if i had called him. Nope.

"Good morning, gorgeous" He said getting out.

"Hey! How come you are here?" I asked looking around.

"Well since it's your company's anniversary.... our company was invited too. So i thought why not pick you up this morning since we are going to the same place"
