Lost But Not Forgotten

CHAPTER 17

Katey's P.O.V

--Bring! Bring! Bring!--

"Uuggghhhh...... it's already morning?" I groan.

Taking another turn on the bed, i fall off the bed with a loud THUD!.. Struggling through the sheets, I get out and reach the bathroom half sleepy.

After getting ready, I rush downstairs and pour cereal into the bowl with some milk. Looking at the clock I realise that it's already 9:30 am. I had to go to Josh's place to help him with the decorations. Picking my phone i ring him to check on him.

"Hey, babe!" He says happily.

"Hi! Are you ready? I'll be coming to help you with the decorations" I said.

"Okay, by the way, you can bring Destiny and Nora because I'll bring Gabe and Patty to help"

"K,K. Don't worry, i'll be there with them" I say and cut the line.

I quickly message Destiny and Nora to get ready. Closing the door behind, i leave the house. As i reach Katey's house  see her waiting for me. I unlock the door and Destiny sits inside.

"Hey, Kate's" She bulges.

"Yo! Sup?" I said turning the car around.

"Let's just get this over with. We.. I mean Nora and i won't be attending the party in the night right?" Destiny says irritated.

"I ruined your sleep, didn't i? That's why your so angry" I say waiting outside Nora's house.

"Yes! By the way, I'm having my checkup tomorrow so maybe i'll come late to the engagement or maybe i'll go early....I don't know. But either of them" she says checking something on her phone. Nora comes and sits at the back.

"Hey guys!" Nora says loudly as i pull the car.

"Hi!" Des and i say.

"So you 2 have decided your outfits for tomorrow?" I ask.

"Yeah, You know me i have everything set" Nora says.

"I'll just wear one of my dresses" Destiny says looking out the window.

"Someone's grumpy today" Nora says.

"So when is your parents coming?" Des asks.

"Around 2 pm.. okay, we are here" I say parking the car.

Everyone gets out. We see that Patty and Gabe have already reached. Opening the door, we quickly go to the backyard. I am greeted by a hug from Josh. Hugging me he plants a kiss on my forehead and i move my face to his and kiss him passionately.

Destiny's P.O.V

My morning was boring then Katey had me get ready for decorations. As we reached Josh's place i saw Gabe's car. Getting inside, i see Gabe putting the lights around the tent on a ladder. I walk towards him and shake his ladder little bit.

"Ahh!..What the-... Destiny?" He shouts confused.

"Hey, handsome!" I say. He comes down and hugs me.

"Ahh!! Stop squishing me to death!" I say. He leaves me then looks at me curiously. "What?"

"Nothing, it looks like you had a bad morning. Did you eat? You look tired"

"Yeah, okay. So what should i help with?" I ask looking around. Josh comes to me and takes me to the tables.

"Okay, so you need to decorate the tables" he instructs me on how i should do it, then he walks away to do his work.

After the whole decorations, we planned to order pizza for lunch since w all were tired. We waited inside Josh's house.

"Aye, Katey! You have to pick your parents it's almost 1:30" I say to Katey.

"Oh yeah! I totally forgot! Josh can you come with me?" Katey asks Josh. They leave, us and ask us to order another pizza for her parents.

I switch the T.V on and lay on the couch watching it. Gabe jumps beside me and puts his hand around me, we stay like that for a few minutes when Nora calls me.

She asks me help her with some work. Wiping the table, i feel dizzy and hold the table firmly. Since the morning, this was happening. Nora sees me and helps me.

"Hey, are you okay?" She asks.

"Yeah, i just need water" I tell her. She helps me sit down and gets me a glass of water. Drinking the water i feel better.

"Okay, thanks. I should get to Gabe before anyone notices" I tell her. I walk to the couch and sit. Not finding Gabe anywhere, I ask Patty.

"Hey, Patts. Where's Gabe?" I ask.

"Gabe?.. He went-" Patty got cut off by Gabe.

"Where were you Des?" He asks sitting beside me.

"Nora asked me to do something" I replied. We sit there watching the T.V when we hear the door bell ring.

"I'll get it!" Patty shouts leaving Nora on her own. He come back with 2 boxes of pizza.

"Finally!" I say loudly. We all get our plates and start o dish out the pizza when Patty speaks.

"Don't you think we should wait for Katey and them?"

"Fine!" We all say together.

Katey's P.O.V

"Hello, darling!" My mom shouts from one side of the arrival area. I go to her and hug her, dad and Britney join in. We separate and i bring Josh with me.

"Mom, dad this is Josh. you've already talked to him" I tell them. Britney pulls away from me and goes to hug him.

"Finally, i get to meet you. I'm so happy that Kate found you, she seems more happy then before" She mutters to him in the hug.

"I'm also very happy to meet you" Josh tells her. Dad hugs Josh and mom joins in. I'm so happy to see everyone showering their love to each other.

"Okay, we can show our love at home. Let's go now. You guys must tired and you should get some rest before our get together tonight" I tell them.

We all go to Josh's place to have lunch and to get my friends to meet my parents. In the car, we had some awkward conversations and small laughs.

"We'll be staying at Kate's place right? I don't want to be a burden to me future son-in-law" Mom asks concerned.  I hold her hand and we walk to the front door.

"Mom, no ones being a burden. And yeah you guys will stay at my place" I tell her.

"If you want to, you can stay at my place. I got no problem, cause my parents stay a few minutes away" Josh tells them.

We enter and everyone greets us. We chat for a few minutes then we decide to eat.

"Kate, i'm so happy to meet your friends!" Britney tells me. I hug her and we take our pizza's. Britney goes over to Destiny and sits with her.

"So when are you two getting married?" Mom asks pointing to Nora and Patty. They smile shyly.

"We... maybe..sometime this year" Nora says.

"What about you two?" She asks Destiny and Gabe. They just smile then shrug. We keep doing some so small talks.

After lunch, we all decide to go to our homes and prepare for the nights occasion.
