As we head back home, Gabe allows me to put my legs on his and play music from his phone.
"Nope! No way. I'm not gonna use your phone" I say and take out my phone plugging in the phone to the car radio i choose my songs. After playing in one of my favourites I put my legs on the window, that is down and look out.
"So I guess your mad at me? Mind telling me why" Gabe says giving me side glances.
"I'm not mad at you. I'm just shocked that Josh and Katey are getting engaged this Sunday"
"What!!??..." Gabe exclaimed. He looked at me and i started to laugh.
"Yeah, didn't he tell you? Well if he didn't then here you go... they are getting engaged this Sunday. Unbelievable right?" I say holding his hand.
"He told me he wanted to ask her...but i didn't know he already asked her. Can't believe they will get married. I mean for me we are still teen..well half adults" He says turning to a gas station.
"What you getting?" He asks.
"Ummm....let me see...a bottle coke and maybe a bag of chips. You?" I reply.
"Okay, i'll see what i want" He parks the car and gets out.
This leaves me thinking. We are already in the age of getting married. If Gabe asks me then what will I say? I mean i don't want to tell him about my sickness and getting married would mean that i would have to tell him about it. Thinking of my sickness i decided to call my doctor to ask him if he is back or not.
I dial his number and look in the store to see that Gabe is in the line. The doc picks up.
"Hello. It's Destiny, doc" I say.
"Oh Hello, dear. How have you been? Any problem?" He replied politely.
"No, Not yet. But i just called to ask when you are returning so you can check me up. I'm just feeling a bit lazy and slow" I say honestly.
"Ok, I'll be returning on Saturday. You can drop by on Sunday because i will arrive in the night" He says.
"Ohh. Well thank you for helping. We'll meet on Sunday. Have a good day. Bye" I say as i see Gabe coming to the car with the plastic in his hands.
"Okay, dear. You too. Bye" He says and i cut the line. Gabe sits down and hands me the plastic. I take the coke and bag of chips and hand the plastic back to him.
"Who was on the phone?" He asks taking out a packet of Twisters.
"That?...That was my aunt. She was just asking me how I was and things..." I trail off.
"That's good. Good to hear you got someone by your back, huh?"
"Yeah. Don't you worry. Now i'm always going to be beside you" I say stuffing a hand full of chips into my mouth. Gabe looks at me and starts to laugh because i have crumbs all over me.
"It's not funny, until I spill this coke on you" I threaten. He shuts up quickly.
After gobbling up, the chips and dusting my hand off. Gabe starts the car and we keep on moving. I take a sip of my coke and the i feel really dizzy. I slowly lower the volume of the radio and fall back dozing off to sleep.
After I told Des about Josh's proposal. I felt calm and happy that she agrees to it. Not mostly but yeah, at least half of it. It's been 2 days since our vacation and our engagement is the day after tomorrow. Mom and dad knew him, but taking in that i was getting married to him was kinda hard for them. When i did a video chat with them this is what they said.
"Oh, honey. That's great, but don't you think it's kind of early?" Mom asked.
"Are you sure you want to get engaged with this Josh?" Dad asks.
"Yeah guys. So I've booked your tickets and you guys are coming on Saturday. On Saturday night, we are having a get together with Josh's parents, and bring Britney with you okay. Cause i will need my young sis with me" I told them.
Today is Friday and Nora and destiny had decided to help me pick out a dress. Actually they told me that they would bring the dress and i'll have to choose which one i wanted to wear. I hear a car pull in my drive way and i jump up to open the door for them. As i open the door I am greeted by a huge hug by both of them.
"Hey!" They scream in my ear.
"Hey guys. Sup?" I ask a bit scared.
"Everything is great. Let's head to your room. We've got a lot of dresses and it will take time for you to choose" Nora says climbing the stairs.
"You're gonna get screwed!" Destiny says laughing at my expression.
"Oh shut up!" I snap and she drags me upstairs.
As we enter the room, we see that Nora has all the dresses lined up on the bed. Only one dress is still packed in the bag which i eye curiously.
"Which one do you want?" Nora asks.
"Well all looks great, so how about i try these on and you guys judge me on which one looks great" I say.
"Okay!" they both exclaim.
After trying all the dresses, they didn't like any of it. Nora picked up the last bag which was not opened and handed it to me.
"This is the last dress. Try it on" she said exhausted.
I tried the last dress and i couldn't believe my eyes. They were really good. As i came out to show it they screamed with happiness. I really hoped that Josh liked it.
