Chapter 1: The Family
The Vargas Family was one of the most influential and notable family in New York starting in the 1940's when the had become legitimate. Based in the Bronx the family lived out their lavish lives in a secluded home. At the head of the family was Romulus. He was born and raised Italy before escaping to the States, in late 1900's, in order to be free of the mafia lifestyle. With him lived his three sons, Feliciano, Lovino, and Sebastian Vargas, his godson, Antonio Fernandez Carriedo, or at least for part of the time, his nephews and niece, Tim, Louis and Laura and the rest of his family and friends.
In the country there was a collections of houses, all surrounded by a large stone wall. With various buildings scattered within the large property, the estate was practically a small town. With complete security from outsiders, the Vargas family was free to host the wedding of the youngest, Sebastian, to a young woman of the name, Lily. Lily was the daughter of Amadeus Beilschmidt, the head of Beilschmidt Mafia. Though The Beilschmidt family had been thriving to become completely legitimate there were still a few strings left to snip.
"Mr. Vargas, I would like to to express my gratitude for hosting our daughter's wedding," said Amadeus as his wife Linda hung onto his arm. She smiled before speaking.
"Shall we join the party?" she asked. Both men nodded and followed her out of Romulus's office.
The proud parents walked out of the house and into the yard. A hundred or more people were seated at tables or dancing. A band was playing music and a mob was dancing on the wooden deck or in the yard. As a woman sang she passed around the mic and people joined in on parts. The dance ended as the parents took a seat at the end of the table by where the bride and groom sat.
"I think everyone is here for the photos dear," said Lily as she looked around the room and counted the people in the photo from her side of the family.
"I think so," Sebastian said taking a stand. He picked up his glass and tapped it gently with his knife. The band stopped and the crowds looked towards the newly weds. With all eyes on Sebastian he directed people to where the photos would be taken. With the help of his other brothers and new in-laws, they group everyone for photos. As they did the first grouping Sebastian did one last run through in his head of who needed to be in the photo.
"Dad, where's Toni and (Name)?" Sebastian asked as he looked around for the (h/c).
"She should be arriving soon, Toni called and said they had arrived at the airport a little while ago," he said looking around for his godchildren.
"I'm not taking the photo without them," Sebastian said turning to his wife. She nodded in agreement while Lovino and Feli showed the photographer who to take a picture of the other groups.
They went on taking all the other photos as they waited for the two godchildren to arrive to the wedding.(Name) had recently moved out to Hollywood with the other Godchild of Romulus, to start up their careers. She was studying medicine while Toni was becoming an uprising star. He had been a few films and a few albums of music published already.
Sebastian knew the arrive of his two closest friends from the first screaming girl. Sebastian's face lit up as a mob of men and women surrounded both (Name) and Toni. They weaved through the crowd of people cheering from them to where the newly weddings were sitting. Sebastian stood as he pulled Toni into a tight hug. (Name) greeted the bride with a smile and three kisses by the cheeks.
"Sebastian has told me so much about you, all good things I assure you," (Name) laughed as the blushing bride could only smile back.
The others happily greeted the young woman and man before them. As greetings and introductions were finishing up (Name) was introduced to a few other people.
