           “Harry? What are you doing?”

            “Umm . . . yeah, so those girls. . .”

            “A huh?”

“Well, they were fans of mine. . . and kind of discovered I was here. . .”

            “So?”

“So, they are chasing us at the moment . . .”

            “They are what?!”

            “Chasing us. . .”

“Well, I realized that! But what, what are we going to do?!”

            “That’s what I’m working on.”

“You mean you don’t even have a plan?!”

“No, not really. That’s kind of the whole point of a body guard- which I kind of ditched back there. . .”

“Why would you do th- ugh!”

“Relax! This is going to be fun . . .”

“Yes, because screaming girl’s in my ears are fun.”

“Haha. You’ve only seen the beginning.”

“You mean there’s mo- wait what am I saying?! Your famous! Oh no, oh no, oh no . . .”

            “Janella!”

“No, no, no, no, no, no. . . This can’t be happening! Okay, drop me off at my house, right this instance!”

“Babe, just sit back and enjoy the ride.”

Clenching her teeth, Janella stared at Harry for a moment then did as she was told- in the meanwhile looking back to see if there were any followers. Ever since their last turn, she hadn’t spotted anyone so, so far they were alright.

Miles and miles they went, Janella confused at their destination.

“Harry?”

“Yeah, love?”

“Don’t call me that, and where are we . . .?”

“Haha. Maybe I will maybe I won’t” he winked. “And we are going for our date.”

. . . . .

“Did you even hear what I said to you at the park about our date?!”

“Relax, we are just going for a coffee. Plus, you didn’t say whe-“

“Harry!”

“Okay, I’m sorry (not). Just come here with me and we hang out for the day, then you can go home.”

“Or else what?” Janella smirked. “Are you going to get your fans on me?”

“Well. . .”

“Harry!” she playfully hit him.

“Well!”

Together the two laughed for the first time. And for the first time- Janella actually didn’t mind his company- but that didn’t last long.

After a few moments the two pulled into what looked like a cabin.

“What do you want?”

“Ugh. . . what do you mean? Where are we?”

“Starbucks, haha.”

“No way! Seriously?”

“Yup. Surprised?”

“Very.”

“Why? Did you figure that the great Harry Styles doesn’t like his coffee blended smoothly?”

Janella laughed again.

“Okay, a Vanilla Bean Frappechino with whipped cream on top.”

“Ah. I see you have great taste in coffee- but obviously not your superstars.”

Janella stopped smiling and looked down as Harry began to order. Concealing his identity, he bought the beverages and began to go deep into a nearby lot of trees- kind of like a forest.

“Okay, close your eyes.”

“Umm, why?”

“Just do it!”

“No, I don’t trust you.”

“Well, you should.”

“No, I shouldn’t. You’re probably like every other star out there: you see a girl you think is hot, get her, use her, then drop her.”

Sitting back in his seat, Harry put one hand on the wheel- the other rubbing his chin. Without taking any extra time, Harry stopped the car, got out and began walking.

“Harry? . . . Harry? Where are you go- Harry?!” Janella shouted with a confused look as she got out of the vehicle, closed the door, placed her hands in her pockets and followed him.

“What?” Harry answered after stopping.

Shuffling on her feet, Janella asked, “What, what are you doing?” as she stopped shuffling and walked next to him.

“You don’t understand- do you?”

“Don’t understand what?”

“That I’m not like everyone else. Sure, I’m famous- but that doesn’t mean I’m selfish.”

Looking down, Janella pondered her thoughts once again, then spoke, “I’m sorry.” Silently she walked back to his car, and got in- right as Harry turned around to watch her go.

Once she was in the car, Janella looked down at her lap, trying to hold back the tears.

Maybe she was wrong. But he didn’t know her either.

Harry’s P●O●V

She looked upset when she walked back- but what I said was true. She shouldn’t judge me- but her judgment was probably right. I better go talk to her.

As Harry made his way back to his car, he hopped into the driver’s seat and closed the door. Moments passed and he still did not bother to start the ignition.

            “Janella, look . . . I-”

“Don’t bother. Look I really need to get home. If you don’t mind, I’d like to go now. It’s better if we depart anyways.”

Awestruck and somewhat hurt by her words, he relented, started the engine and proceeded back the way they had come. No laughter, no words, no songs, no joy, and no happiness filled the cold air in the car. Nothing escaped their lips. Finally, they reached Janella’s house.

Harry slowly pulled up to the curb in front of her house. Preparing to speak, Janella quickly opened the door, got up, and with a simpy and shallow, “thank you”, she was gone. He hadn’t even been able to speak.

What had he done?
