Chapter 4

*Before the party*

I have nothing to wear to this party. I've never really been to any party so I don't know how this is even gonna work out. Unless going to your Aunts for a family little get together counts. Which I'm pretty sure it doesn't. I ran down the stairs and plopped down on the couch. This is it. I can't go. I have nothing to wear. I'm not going. Sorry Maya.

"Carly, what's wrong?" Asked my mom as she walked into the living room

"Nothing." I sighed

"Clearly something is bugging you."

"I just can't go to this one party." I said

"What! You got invited to a party!" She said surprised and loudly

"Thanks mom." I said as I rolled my eyes

"Honey this is your first real party! Your going!!" She said standing up

"Mom I have nothing to wear." I said

I looked up to see my mom smirking and run out of the room. What? Where did she..? Soon she came back down with a very light purple short but flowy dress with a heart shaped top. It was perfect for the party! It was probably the prettiest dress I've ever seen. Though i haven't seen that many dresses in my life time. I smiled big. As I and my mom ran up the stairs to get ready for this party. I changed into the dress. It fit perfectly. I sat in a chair as my mom curled my hair for the first time with a wand.

"Where did you even get this dress." I said out of no where

"I saw it a couple of months ago and just had to get it, for you." She said making me smile

"We'll thanks." I smiled as she also finished wanding my hair

"Anything for my only daughter." She smiled back at me

I stood up and felt ready for this party. I grabbed my present for Maya that I had gotten her today after school. Everything felt prefect right now. I quickly looked in the mirror to see a, well pretty teenager. I had on some white heels that I only ever wore to church. I looked taller which made me even happier because I was really short.

"Wait Carly!" Said my mom as I almost left the house

"These." She said as she took my glasses off and put them on the table next to her

"You don't need them for a party." She winked

I walked into Maya's house to see a bunch of teens in her huge house. It definitely was a party house. I knew some of them from school but others were strangers to me. I walked through the crowd to try and find Maya. Man this house is big you could almost get lost in it. There was so many people in this house though. I walked around to the backyard to see Maya on her porch talking to some guy.

"Carly! Omg I almost didn't recognize you!" She said before hugging me

"Thanks Carly and you look so amazing!" She said motioning to my dress and my hair.

"Ha thanks." I smiled Maya was wearing a bright blue dress at had sparkles all over.

"Oh I'm sorry. Carly this is Ryan my boyfriend." She smiled

"Hi." I waved at him

"Hey." He smirked and winked at me.Um okay?

I looked all around the yard to see Cameron and his crew in the corner talking and laughing. Shit. I totally forgot about the whole reason why I wasn't suppose to even come to this party. Cameron. Omg I knew I should of not come. Then Cameron turned around and looked right at me. This is bad I need to leave or better yet hide.

"Hey um I'm gonna go inside and put your present with the others." I quickly said to Maya as I ran inside.

I walked quickly around all the people dancing, drinking and talking. I somehow managed to get to the upstairs hallway where it wasn't too crowded. Maybe I could just stay here for the whole party. Cameron's gonna kill me. I need to just leave maybe I can seek out and Maya won't even know I'm gone I mean I did show up right. I turned around and accidentally bumped into someone dropping Maya's present.

"Sorry let me get that."

"No it's fine I got it." I said as we both went to pick it up though I didn't get it before he did. I looked up to see Cameron and he looked up to see me to. My heart started racing. He flip the present over to see it had my name on it.

From: Carly

I quickly took the present back.

"Uh thanks." I said looking down trying to hide my face. As I quickly ran out of the hall. Crap! I really hope he didn't notice it was me or see that it said my name on it. I ran down the stairs and bumped into someone again. It was Ryan Maya's boyfriend.

"Oh sorry Ryan." I said as i tried to walk past him but he stopped me.

"Uhh excuse me." I said as I tried to get by him. I think he was drunk.

I tired to run away but he grabbed my arm and pulled me back. "Can't run baby girl." He smirked what the hell this is Maya's boyfriend! He wrapped he's arms around me. "Ryan get off me!" I yelled as I tired to get away from him. It no use though he was pretty strong. He pushed me up against the wall and leaned in to kiss me and he had a strong grip on me that hurt. I closed my eyes shut this is not how I want my first kiss to be. I tired kicking and punching but his grip was just too strong. He leaned in to were he's nose was touching mine. Right when he was about to lean into my lips, he got yanked away from me and throw to the ground. I quickly opened my eyes to see Cameron punching and beating up Ryan on the floor right next to me. Cameron just saved me.

Then came running Maya.

"Cameron! CAMERON! What are you doing to him!! Yelled Maya as she tried to get Cameron off Ryan. I stood there in shock. When Maya finally got them off of each other she looked up at me.

"What happened!" Said Maya

"Maya..he tried to kiss me." I almost mumbled. Maya looked down at Ryan beaten up and walked away from him. I turned my head and looked at Cameron.

"Cameron-" Cameron quickly ran out of the room. Why would my bully save me like that.
