Chapter 12

Flashback

"There's the new girl." Said Cameron pointing at the girl walking down the hall with her books against her chest as she pushed her glasses up. She was beautiful. Her hair was messy curly but some how looked perfect. She wore tight light jeans with a red sweater with some sort of design on it. She was different.

"W-What about her?" I asked Cameron

"Well I don't like her." Said Cameron as he rolled his eyes and leaned his back against the lockers.

"You don't even know her."

"So! You got a problem about it? I can say whatever I want about anyone!" He yelled

"Hey you!" Said Cameron walking up to the girl

"W-what." She stuttered she looked scared of Cameron. I don't blame her, he's changed.

"Nice sweater-*Cough* loser." He laughed with the other guys. The girl looked down in embarrassment and ran down the hall. Cameron, Bryan, and them laughed as she ran away. I've known Cameron since 1st grade, he wasn't always like this. I felt bad for the girl cleanly she was new to town and she was only a freshmen.

"Cameron."

"What? Come on Nash it was funny." He laughed

End of Flashback

"Carly!" Yelled Maya as she ran over to me in the cafeteria. Why was she coming towards me? Shouldn't she be siting at her normal table? Guess not. She walked right pass that table and when she did, everyone at that table stared at her as she came towards me. Flashbacks from yesterday at lunch came to my mind and I closed my eyes. Soon enough there she was sitting in the seat next to me.

"Maya what are you doing?" I said

"I came to sit with you." She said taking out her packed lunch

"Oh okay." I mumbled

"Don't you wanna sit with your friends though?" I questioned

"Nah I'd rather sit here." She smiled. Why? I hope she realizes she's gonna get talked about. Rumors are gonna go around and sooner or later she's gonna be down at the bottom with me. She knows that too. I know she does. So why would she risk it. Or maybe she just feels bad for me.

"Maya you don't have to sit here because U feel bad for me. I practically sit alone everyday it's fine."

"Carly, I want to sit here." She said

"Do you not want me to sit here?" She asked

"No it's just, I don't know." I sighed

"Oh." Said Maya in a low voice. I don't wanna hurt Maya's feelings. I just don't want her to ruin her popularity.

"I got paired up with Nash for drama class." I mumbled

"What?" She said

"I got paired up-"

"No I heard you, are you gonna switch partners?" She asked

"No, I don't think so I mean it's fine I guess." I mumbled stabbing at my salad. He was being nice to me about it. Maybe it wouldn't be half bad.

"Okay whatever you say then." Said Maya

UGGHHH I keep getting Maya and Carly's names mixed up I'm sorry I promise I fix it right when I notice!
