"wise men say, only fools rush in,

but i can't help falling in love with you,

shall i stay?

would it be a sin,

if i can't help falling in love with you..."

"UH, COME again?"

Perform? In front of all those people? The closest I've gotten to performing for a crowd, was in front of Ginger.

And that was it.

"I just thought..." he trailed off, "You're good, hazel, why not share that raw talent with all those people?"

"Maybe because I've never performed for people before?" I replied, shaking my head. "There's no way I'm performing Zac, I can't."

"You can't? Or don't want to? Because I know for a fact, that you can." He sidestepped the car, and came closer to me.

I took a step back. "How? How do you know that?"

"I hear you, or heard, I should say," he said, "every time I would walk my dog, I would hear you playing."

"So, we're stalking each other now?" I retaliated, as a lame excuse to change the subject.

"Don't try changing the subject, hazel," he went over to where the guitar lay, and handed it over to me, "you're good and you know it."

"I can't just walk up there randomly and start singing," I tried desperately to change his mind, but once again, he was one step ahead of me.

"Oh, they know you're singing tonight," he stated, closing the trunk, "I signed you up as our opening act."

A few pebbles cleared the path as my mouth hit the ground, literally.

"You did what?" I screeched, and a few heads in the parking lot slowed their pace to turn and look at the uprising commotion.

"I'll explain while we walk inside," he ushered, "the show's supposed to start in 10 minutes, and Jack needs to go over a few things with you before you go on stage."

"Who said I'm doing the show?" I persisted, seriously debating if I should kick him where the sun doesn't shine.

He stopped walking and turned to face me, an unreadable expression on his face. He took my hand and lead me over to one of the benches outside the restaurant.

"Remember our contract?" he asked, and I nodded. "Well, I forgot to include something in there, something that shouldn't have been left out."

I raised my eyebrow, confused. "I thought you said you didn't have anything else to add?"
