A/N Sorry this chapter is really short. The next one will definitely be longer (most likely). I have a big project due soon and, and this was going to be a short chapter anyways. I don't own any of the characters, all of them are owned by Stuart Gibbs. Enjoy!

The English Grill

London, England

April 1

We followed him, walking past people who were sitting down, enjoying their food. I was thankful; we didn't stand out, because in the clothes we were wearing before, we certainly would have. People were wearing three-piece suits like ours, and some even wore tuxedos.

There was this one person, with a crew cut, blonde hair, tan skin, and green eyes who kept looking at us, but since we were the only kids here, I guess we stood out a little. We were seated in these really fancy plush half circles, and since there were eight of us, we took up two of them:

I sat with Mike, Zoe and Erica, while Murray sat with Cyrus, Alexander, and Catherine. I sat at the edge, with Zoe on my left, Mike on her left, and Erica on his left.

I had a view out the window, and I could see Buckingham palace; where the Queen lives. I wondered if Warren needing to get a job here close to the castle meant anything. I was probably just overthinking things. I tend to do that when I'm nervous.

I felt something watching me; you know the feeling where your neck is tingling. The guy who was watching us earlier was watching us again. He pretends not to look at us, and I noticed Erica was watching him as well. We locked eyes, and she raised her eyebrows, questioningly, silently asking me what I thought. I shrugged my shoulders, and she rolled her eyes.

Meanwhile, Mike and Zoe were making small talk.

"So, what do you think of frozen yogurt?" Mike was asking Zoe.

She made a face, and answered. "I hate it. It's to mushy, it feels like I have mud in my mouth."

"How do you know what mud in your mouth feels like?" Mike asked, interested.

"It's metaphorical, stupid. It's what I expect mud in my mouth to feel like."

"I knew that. I was just messing with you," Mike cracked up.

"Shut your mouth!" Erica hissed. "You're calling attention to us, no know else is talking loudly!"

Mike and Zoe looked around, and sure enough, no one was talking normally. More like hushed whispers.

Zoe turned red, while Mike colored slightly. Erica had her standard icy expression on, and rolled her eyes slightly. She was good at rolling her eyes. I wonder how much practice she's had; probably lots. She rolls her eyes a lot.

I smirked at the thought, and Erica turned to me sharply.

"What's so funny?" she asked.

"Nothing," I said quickly, trying to wipe the smile off my face, with little result. Eventually I managed it, but Erica still looked at me out of the corner of her eye, making sure I didn't smile again.

We spent a couple minutes looking at the menu, except Erica, she was looking at the other patrons, probably assessing if they were a threat or not. I finally decided on the simplest thing that sounded most like an American meal. When our waiter came back, we ordered, and I made sure to get water with ice. I waiter frowned slightly, but complied. Zoe and Mike ordered similar things, and Erica ordered something I've never even heard of before, without looking at the menu.

"I fancy the 'whole cornish plaice', with the 'hollandaise sauce', please."

"Yes, Ms. Hale," he said, eyes flicking to her.

"How many times have you been here?" I asked her casually after the waiter was gone, but didn't quite manage it. My voice sounded slightly strained.

"Four. And how did you know that?" she asked suspiciously.

"Well, you ordered without looking at the menu, and the waiter knew you."

"Well done. You're getting better. My teaching has paid off, finally."

"Thanks!" I said brightly, happy Erica complimented m, and decided to ignore the tiny dig.

Exactly ten minutes later, Erica whispered into her transmitter, "Go to the bathroom and accidentally walk into the kitchen."

"Ok," I whispered back, and got up.

"Where are you going?" Zoe asked.

"The bathroom," I answered, finally managing to hide my intentions with a casual voice. I found my way to the kitchen, and opened the peered through a small window in it. What I saw surprised my greatly.

Warren and Ashley were one of the many people in the kitchen, and they were standing suspiciously over platter of food, and I recognized my food as well as Mike and Zoe's, along with a plate which I assumed was Erica's food.

Warren was pulling out a little baggie with powder in it, and I watch him glance around casually. I don't know if he saw me, but when I looked back, he was hastily putting it back in his pocket and Ashley had her eyes scanning the kitchen.

I went back as quickly as possible to our table, and began to tell Erica what I saw.

Then, Warren hastily put the bag back in his pocket and Ashley was looking around the kitchen nervously!" I finished, and my eyes were wide.

She jumped up calmly, as did Cyrus and Catherine, indicating that they were eavesdropping. They all walked back in the direction I came from, probably to capture or at least confront the two criminals. On that note, I'm pretty sure they are broken up. Both of their bodies had been very tense.

A couple minutes later, they came empty handed.

"What happened?"

"They weren't there." Cyrus said angrily. "They left!"

"They must have seen you and skedaddled." Erica seethed.
