A/N  I'm not dead! I'm so sorry for not updating for a while. I've had tons of homework and I've been very tired lately. This chapter is kind of short, so please standby for the next one (probably sometime next week). But in the time I haven't updated, some things have happened. Ariana Grande's song "7 rings" came out. I'm not trying to attack her or her fans (I like some of her songs), but seriously, the lyrics are kind of dumb: You like my hair? Gee thanks, just bought it. If she's talking about wigs, hers just got snatched. Lol. Anyways, enjoy, vote, and comment!

SPYDER's hideout

Underground London

1400 hours

April 2

"So, you've figured it out?" Maddox asked.

"Yes." I said flatly.

"I don't think so." Maddox said, triumphant.

"Well. We do. Ben figured it out." Erica said.

"Then tell me." Maddox said.

"You're kidnapping the Queen and going to ransom her off. You're doing this because you don't have much money left. Once you have that money, you're going to use it to seize control of the English government." I said, growing worried because the kidnapping of the Queen was supposed to be here right now.

"Wow. You're good." Maddox said, sounding annoyed.

Erica quickly put a gag on Maddox, and tied him to a chair. She called Cyrus, then added Catherine to it to make it a group call. Catherine and Cyrus picked up instantly, and we could hear Cyrus cursing into his phone.

"How do you put this stupid thing on speaker?" he said.

"You have to press the button on the top right." Murray said helpfully.

"Cursed phones." Cyrus muttered. "We didn't need these things in the old days."

"We know, Grandpa." Erica said. "Ben and I-"

"Are you alright, Sweetie?" Catherine asked

"Yes, Mom." Erica said hurriedly. "I called to tell you that Ben found out the plans of SPYDER."

"Well, what is it?" Cyrus said anxiously. "Don't just be silent, building the suspense!"

"SPYDER is kidnapping the Queen and going to ransom her off. They're doing this because they don't have much money left. Once they have that money, they're going to use it to seize control of the English government!" Erica said, sounding unusually worried.

"Oh my gosh! I can't BELIEVE that!" Catherine said, seething.

"I know!" Erica agreed. "It's outrageous!"

"Why are you so concerned?" I asked. "It's not even as bad as some other of SPYDER's plots."

"It's genetics." Erica explained, a bit of pink tinging her cheeks. "I'm half British."

She continued on with her conversation, as if her explanation had explained everything. It in fact, had explained nothing. I assumed that Erica was telling them where we were and that we needed backup.

I was looking around the room for any details showing where they were going to take the Queen. Now that I looked around, I realized the room was much more decorated than I originally thought. Like the underground room under the recreation center at the old SPYDER headquarters, there was a frozen yogurt machine with fifteen flavors, and a full topping bar. There was also a coffee machine and snacks in a fridge.

I went to look at the froyo machine, and there were drops on the floor. They looked relatively recent. People were still down here.

There was a huge T.V. mounted onto the wall, showing security feeds. And then, suddenly, there was a movement in one frame. I kept tracking it, and when Erica wrapped her phone call, I showed it to her.

"We don't have a way of knowing where that is." I said.

"Let me figure it out." Erica said, staring intently at the screens.

I continued around the room, and came to a file cabinet. I assumed it would be locked, but it wasn't. I tugged on the handle and it popped open. I expected to find meaningless papers considering that that cabinet wasn't locked, but I found something completely different.
I couldn't believe what I was reading. It was a list of all the SPYDER agents. I had no idea why they would leave such things on a card copy and lying around, but I immediately called Erica over.

"Erica!" I hissed.

"What?" she said, walking over. Then she read the paper. Well, the top paper. The list was at least one hundred pages long, Arial font, size 11.

Her eyes went wide, and she put it in her backpack that I hadn't noticed she had. It was more of a knapsack, but same difference.

"I wonder what else in in here?" I asked.

"We don't have time to find out." she said gravely.

I stiffened in alarm, then spun around to face the camera monitors. There was movement in one of them. A person about 5' 10 was running through the tunnels, most likely towards us.

Erica pulled out her gun, and I followed suit. Except, I took out a knife instead. We creeped to the door, and Erica peered out. She gave me the all clear, and I moved out.

I was so nervous that I tripped over my own feet, and almost fell. Erica glared at me, and moved in front of me to take the lead. The walls were furnished like the ones in the old headquarters, new age with flowers of stands every ten feet. Creepy, if you ask me.

We had walked about three hundred feet, when the same man from the cameras came running around a corner twenty feet in front of us. He stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes flashing with recognition when he looked at Erica and I.

I studied the man carefully. He seemed to be in his early thirties, with well-defined muscles and a maniacal glint in his eyes, which were unusually black. His hair was short, spiked, strawberry blonde, and disheveled. He was sort of handsome in a way, but there was something about him that made me want to hide in a corner and hope he went away. He was dressed like Cyrus usually dressed like, with joggers, sensible sneakers, and a Nike sweatshirt (sorry adidas).

Before we could say anything, the man said, "Nice to finally meet you, Ms. Hale, and soon to be Mr. Hale. Mr. Ripley, when you marry Erica, she'll make you change your last name, not the other way around. I'm just kidding! You should have seen the look on your faces! It was classic!" he laughed. "I'm Mr. E!"

"Oh... my... god..." Erica said. "I... know you!"

A/N  Why do I do two of these? IDK. Anyways, did you like it? What did you guys think of Mr. E? Until next time!
