Chapter 10: "You can't fool this one,"
C A M I L A
Friday, 10:45 pm.
I laid on my bed tucked under my thick white duvet. I found it hard to fall asleep since my mind kept rushing back to the conversation I had with Chloe. Yes, I do feel something for Zach, I feel worried about him because he's going back to his bad habits again.
Where's the Zach that can be annoying at times but can also be a great person at the same time?
Suddenly, my phone quacked a message on Instagram which was from Ryder.
Jerk:
hey evans you still up?
I wasn't in the mood to talk to him even if it wasn't face to face so I ignored his message. For some reason, this guy didn't want to give up and my phone quacked another from him.
Jerk:
open your window
Me:
what? why should i do that?
Jerk:
just open the damn window
I did what he told me to do so that he wouldn't keep annoying me. I walked towards my long retangular mirror and opened it. Suddenly, Ryder appeared from nowhere and leaned against the wall before closing the window quietly.
How did he get up here??
"Missed me?" He teased and I rolled my eyes in annoyance
"What do you want?" I asked before I plopped down on my bed
"You," He said in a flirtatious tone
"You mean Skylar the girl you were playing toncil hockey with," I replied dryly
"Are you jealous?" He asked mockingly
"Why would I be? I'm not one of your obsessed fangirls," I said. "You can go now."
"Kicking me out already?" Ryder asked in that annoying tone of his
"Just go," I said through my now gritted teeth
"What do I have to do for you not to hate me?" He asked which took me by surprise
"It's gonna take you to get the Golden State Warriors to meet me personally and beat them in a basketball game with your basketball team," I explained. "But I doubt that you can so I'll probably hate your guts for as long as I live."
"Challenge accepted," was all he said before he exited out the way he came in.
Challenge accepted?
I laid under my covers trying to find a comfortable position once again. I was about to fall asleep when three soft knocks errupted from my door. At first I ignored the knocks since it was past 11 pm and I wasn't in the mood to stay up even later. I guess the person didn't get the memo so she/he just rudely came in my room without my permission.
"Go away Miles," I groaned
"I heard you were awake, can we talk?" Skylar replied in a hush whisper
