I quietly shut the door before sitting on one of the nearby unoccupied seats. Chloe, who was clearly still stunned by what we saw, sat on the one beside me and pulled out her phone.

"You ok?" She asked as she typed rapidly on her phone

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I replied. "It's their life. If they want a thing going on again then they could."

She closed her phone and put it back in her pocket before facing me with a serious expression. "What if they asked you about it?"

"Then I'll say what I told you. They can do what ever they-"

The sound of Zach's door loudly opening and Skylar coming out with a wide smile on her face interrupted my statement.

I put on a sly smile as Skylar stood in front of Chloe and I. "Hey Cuz, did you have a good talk with him?"

"More like good make out session," Chloe whispered which I barely caought on and Sky didn't seem to have heard.

I lightly kick her which, thankfully, my cousin didn't notice. "Yeah and I kinda need to fill you in something later since I kinda need to crash at the house. Can you watch Zach for a bit?"

"Sure thing Cuz, see you later then," I replied

"Ok bye Cuz and Chloe," She said before slowly disappearing through the hallway.

As if it was planned, my phone lit up with a notification on Facebook that read:

Skylar Evans posted an update.

She hasn't posted anything lately...... This has got to be something big.

I stared at the notification still deciding whether I should look at it or not. I was about to shut my phone when Chloe snatched it from my hands and opened it.

All the color from her face was suddenly drained. "Holy crap, Mil you have to see this."

"Chlo, stop overreac-" I started to say and stopped when I saw what she was talking about.

Skylar Evans is in a relationship with Zach Parker.

Underneath the words was a their profile pictures loomed in a heart.

"That's it? That's your reaction?" Chloe said

I took my phone back before putting it back where it was before. "I'm not his ex or his girlfriend. I'm his best friend and I'll be happy for him no matter what."

"Even if let's just say you happen to have the tiniest crush on him?" Chloe asked

"Yeah."

It was 8:15 p.m. and I was currently in Zach's hospital room watching the NBA 2018 championship reruns with Zach who sat up on his bed like waiting for the awkward silence to break.

Suddenly, the TV turned off and I immediately turned my head to face Zach who had the remote in his hands. "What was that for?"

"Don't play dumb Cam. You're mad at me I can tell," He replied
