Hey guys, I apologise for the long delay of this chapter. I went to this two day school camp thing that didn't require phones so I couldn't really finish this in time.
I'm still waiting for some entries for the #followeroftheweek so I might announce that on the next chapter.
On with the story......
Chapter 11: The Prank
R Y D E R
Sunday, 11:20 p.m.
I was still pissed about Camila kicking my dick and being all salty after I wasted a lot of time trying to convince her favorite NBA team's manager to get the Warriors to come to Portland all of a sudden.
Right now I'm in the art room trying to figure out which art project Ethan did so I can ruin it.
Why you might ask? Well, he decided to be Camila's knight in shinning armor and went against me instead of being on my side.
I took the cover off on one of the huge canvases which revealed a picture of a girl and a boy in a park filled with cherry blossom trees. I recognised the boy which was a spliting image of my ex homeboy Ethan. Remembering that our art teacher leaves the art supplies in open drawers, I walked over the the white painted wooden drawers and looked for some spray paint. Once I found what I was looking for, I walked back to the canvas and sprayed a big red X on top of the painting.
That's what you get for betraying me Ethan.......

I was tucked in my bed under the covers next to my cousin who laid next to me and I've been chatting with for about an hour now. "Hey Sky, can I ask you a question?"
"Sure," She replied before she faced me
"What if..... Zach wants you back, will you consider him?" I asked which made her grin turn into a slight frown.
"I haven't thought about that but I won't unless....." Skylar trailed off
"Unless Ryder doesn't beat him to it," I finished the sentence for her
She bit her lip, clearing trying to hide the uneasiness in her eyes. "Well, I think it's really sweet that whenever he comes over to see you or Miles he always leaves a packet of sour patch and a white rose in front of my bedroom door with the note 'I'm sorry' on a white card."
"So what are you waiting for?" I asked
She let out a heavy sigh. "I miss him but I don't know if I can trust him again...""Zach can be a bit of a flirt sometimes but I can tell that he still has it for you," I replied, looking back at all those conversations we had about how he can get her back.
"Enough about my love life, hows yours?" She asked
"Goodnight Sky," I said, trying to get away from the one thing I don't want to talk about.
"One day Cuz, you'll be happy because of a special someone," Skylar said. "Night Cuz."
Never in a million years.
"Night," I replied before I drifted off
-
The ride to school was pretty interesting since I was in the back of Zach's car watching him drive and had a nonstop conversation with Skylar who sat next to him. I can tell that the smile Skylar had on her face while she chatted happily with Zach wasn't a fake one because I've never seen her that happy except for time they dated.
Zach parked his car in the parking lot before we walked towards the entrance of the campus. Skylar was left in the car but Zach couldn't hide that grin on his face while we walked side by side.
"Seems like someone found their happy pill again," I teased him and he playfully rolled his eyes.
"You should be happy too, aren't you part of that big art contest?" He asked and I nodded
"More like nervous, ninety percent of my grades depend on this. If I don't at least place, I might lose my scholarship." I replied
Zach nudged me with reassurance. "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll win."
I gave him a sly grin. "Thanks Zach,"
Suddenly, Ethan approached us with a worried look on his face. "Mila, something bad happened to our project."
I looked up at Zach who immediately understood and nodded. I followed Ethan who was clearly as tensed as I was about the problem.
We stopped in front of the art room door and Ethan opened the door for me before I entered and was frozen in place. I stared blankly at the art project we've spent restless nights on. Someone purposely ruined our artwork by painting a huge X on it with red spray paint.
"He finally did it," Ethan spoke up from behind me
I turned to face him with mixed emotions. "But why would he do something to you? Aren't you guys friends or something?"
"We were. He got mad at me when I defended you instead of siding with him," He explained with a look of defeat on his face.
I scrunched up my face in annoyance and anger. "That's so low but we have to find a way to fix this."
"How?" Ethan asked
I opened my mouth to speak but the sound of the bell ringing interrupted me. "Oh no, the judging starts now." Ethan said
We're so screwed.....
-
After the other pairs presented their work, it was mine and Ethan's turn to present. The project was covered with a thick sheet while Ethan held it up.
"Well, what are you waiting for Miss Evans?" One of the judges asked
I exhaled before I finally pulled the cover off. I heard gasps from the audience in front of us when they saw the ruined artwork.
"Is this some kind of joke?!" One of the guest judges shouted. "That is the worst artwork I have ever seen in MY LIFE! I EXPECTED MORE FROM YOU MISS EVANS! GET THAT HORRIBLE SCENE OUT OF MY SIGHT!!"
I couldn't take it anymore so I ran out of the auditorium and out the back door that led to the back of the school. I suddenly saw one unexpected sight.....
