I entered my house and immediately saw my father standing a few feet away with his arms crossed and a scowl on his face.

"Where were you?" He asked

"Like you care," I replied before walking towards the grand staircase

"Stop right there," he practically shouted when I was a foot away from him. "You're grounded."

"Says who?" I said

"I am your father and you will treat me with respect!" He shouted

"Sorry old man you missed that train years ago," I said coldly

"YOU ARE MY SON AND YOU WILL LISTEN TO ME!" He yelled

Without warning, one of our maids appeared with a concerned look on her face. "Sir, your doctor says shouting is bad for your blood pressure."

"I'll be fine Evelyn. I just wish my daughter Veronica was here instead of my ungrateful son," He spatted

"Say all the shit you want 'cause I don't give a fuck," I replied. "Evelyn is dinner ready?"

"Y-yes sir," She squeaked before disappearing into the kitchen

I slammed my bedroom door shut before I scrolled through the contact numbers on my phone and dialed Roxy's.

"C'mon Rox pick up," I muttered while pacing back and forth

After three rings she finally picked it up. "What do you want?"

"Hey lil sis, have I ever told you how amazing you rap?" I replied

"Stop it Ry, I know you're just doing this because you want something from me and it's not working," She said with irritation in her tone

"Fine. Are you still on that world tour?" I asked

"Yeah I'm in Sydney at the moment, why?" She replied

"Can you perform at our Winter Formal?"I finally blurted out

"Is this a joke?" She said

"Please Rox. I really need to make it up to the girl I told you about," I pleaded

"Wait I'm confused. You were such a prick to her and now you're trying to win her over?" Roxy replied

"Yeah but she's different," I said

"You know I kinda wanna meet the only other girl that has the guts to punch you," She said

"Does that mean you're coming?" I asked eagerly

"Of course! I'm sure me and that girl will get along," She replied. "Sorry bro I need to get ready before I get on stage. Talk to you later?"

"Yeah sure. Take 'em down Rox," I said
"You know it," She said eagerly before the line went dead

Dad had to work a late shift, Miles was out with his friends while Skylar, Connor and I were at the living room watching CNN. Well it was more like Connor and I since Skylar was obviously texting Zach based on her reactions. I had to sit between the two of them since Connor was still mad at Sky for what happened ages ago.
