-hi! i'm proud of this chapter so yeah enjoy lovely people!-
TODAY IT'S 7 YEARS OF 5SOS AND I'M EMO AF
"Hey, you're here!" Michael said opening the door. "Damn you brought pizza, fuck marry me Hemmings!" The grey-haired boy giggled.
"Yeah, I figured you'd be all hungry." Luke said.
Michael nodded and then they walked downstairs, Calum and Ashton were on the sofa, focused on whatever damn game they were playing, Ashton was nudging Calum on the ribs to make him loose and Calum was grumbling against him. Yeah typical Calum and Ashton, Luke thought.
"Hi." Luke said softly.
The kiwi glared at the blonde, and Luke raised his hands, saying sorry to disturb them in such an important part. But Ashton pressed stop, Calum cried dramatically but Ashton didn't care he frowned at the kiwi and he walked to Luke, pressing a kiss on his cheek.
"Hi, Lu." He said smiling. "You okay?"
Luke nodded and then both of them went to the couch.
"Nice to see you Lucifer." Calum growled as Luke sat next to him.
"Oh c'mon you were losing anyway." Luke giggled when he saw the 'game over' on the tv.
"Yeah, who's fault is that?" Calum said throwing the controller away.
"I brought pizza?" Luke said, shrugging. The looks on Calum's face changed and he wrapped his arms around Luke's neck, pulling him into a quick hug.
"Ok, you're forgiven."
Then they all ate the pizza, Michael made dad jokes, as always and Calum was sighing at him, while Ashton and Luke were chatting quietly about Ashton's new apartment. Ashton and Luke were friends since Luke was in grade 4, when they meet, Ashton was in grade 6 with Michael and weirdly the became friends. Two years later, they meet Calum, he was a new student, coming straight from New-Zealand, he was super shy and cute so they decided to take him under their wings.
"So what do you say?" Ashton nudged Luke. "You wanna come over?" Luke frowned, he should listen when people talk sometimes. "You know to see my new apartment? And then we could watch a movie or something."
"Yeah, yeah hm you mean like just you and me?" Luke asked a small smile on his face.
"Yeah, like the good old days." Ashton smiled while Luke nodded.
Then they were just lost in their own little world, sharing care-filled looks and shy smiles until Calum cleared his throat.
"Okay love birds, my mom is coming home in twenty, I think it's time for you three to go home."
They all agreed and helped Calum to clean everything. Once they were done, they said goodbye and the two friends went to Luke's car. The car ride was silent until Luke's phone went off. The blonde growled and he handed it to Ashton, asking him to have a look.
"It's Ben." Ashton said.
"Fuck." Luke gripped the steering wheel roughly.
"What's up with you two?" Ashton asked.
"Nothing." Luke shoved the phone away but the thing started to ring again a few seconds later.
"Maybe you should answer." Ashton said.
"Can you please do it?" Luke sighed. "Just ask him what he wants, I don't want to talk to him right now."
Ashton nodded and he swiped left, he pressed the phone against his ear and soon he heard Ben's voice.
"Luke? The fuck took you so long!" Ben's voice was concerned.
"Hi Ben, hm it's Ashton." He sighed. "Luke's driving."
"Oh."
"Is everything alright?" Ashton asked.
"Is Luke able to hear me right now?" Ben asked, his voice shaky.
"N-no, why?"
"Okay good, hm J-Jack had an accident, he's at the hospital right now." Ben said and Ashton gasped.
"What's wrong?" Luke asked as Ashton had his hand pressed against his mouth.
"I think you should come to the hospital right now, but make sure Luke's not driving, please." Ben sighed shakily. "See you later." Then the line went silent, leaving Ashton wordless and Luke worried.
"What's wrong Ash?" Luke asked again, keeping his eyes on the road. "What did he said?"
"Lukey you should stop the car." Ashton said as calm as he could.
"What? Why? You okay?" Luke frowned.
"Please stop the car."
"What happened Ashton?"
Ashton didn't answer, he didn't know what to say, Luke could freak out in a matter of second and Ashton didn't want him angry, not now. So Luke stopped the car on the side of the road. Then it was silent for a few seconds until Luke asked again what was going on.
"It's Jack, he's at the hospital." Ashton said his hand on Luke's knee. "Ben said that we should go as soon as possible."
"Oh my god." Luke's eyes widened. "Is he okay? What happened?"
"I don't know, he just said that- no, no stop what are you doing? I'm gonna drive." Ashton said when Luke started the car again.
"It's o-okay I can drive." Luke assured.
"No, Luke you can't, please let me drive we don't need two Hemmings at the hospital."
Luke reluctantly nodded and Ashton drove to the hospital, the car ride was silent and Luke's knees were bouncing from nervousness, he was fidgeting with his finger and praying internally that everything would be okay.
Ten minutes later the two boys entered the hospital, Ben was in the waiting room, pacing like crazy. When he saw Luke he jogged to him, he had tears strains on his cheeks and he looked wrecked. Luke's heart tightened, he was scared, really scared.
"What happened?" Luke asked.
"The roads were wet and he lost the control of the car."
Luke's heart dropped, he knew it, it was fucking dangerous the roads were dangerous when it was raining. He closed his eyes while tugging on his hair, he couldn't breathe and tears were prickling his eyes. He knew it, the roads were really dangerous when it was raining in Sydney.
Ashton grabbed his arms and he pulled the tall guy into a hug. Luke rested his head into Ashton's neck and he wrapped his arms around his waist, crying quietly while everything seemed to fell down around him.
"Where's mom and dad?" Luke asked after a while.
"On the way." Ben replied.
For at least three hours, everything was silent. Andy and Liz were sat next to Ben, all three holding hands while Luke was on Ashton's lap, his head on the crook of his neck, breathing softly. He was so scared, he couldn't lose his brother, he couldn't make it without him.
"I told him I hated him." Luke whispered into Ashton's neck.
"What?" Ashton frowned and Luke straightened, facing him. His eyes and nose were red and his eyes puffy.
"The last thing I told him was that I hated him." Luke said with a shaky voice and tears in his eyes.
