-hi! double update bc im amazing lol :)-

-everything that the doctor is saying in this chapter is completely fictional i have absolutely no ideas of how this thing works so let's just pretend, thanks.-

"You're nervous?" Ashton said caressing Luke's arm.

"Not really, I just hope they won't find me a tumor or something like this, I don't wanna die a virgin you know." He giggled, but Ashton could hear the nervousness in his voice.

"You're? You're a virgin?" Ashton said smiling and straightening on the couch.

"Yeah."Luke nodded. "No pressure tho."

Luke laughed when he saw Ashton's face, he looked stressed and really insecure. The blonde grabbed his face and he kissed him softly.

"I think it's gonna be okay." Ashton said, his fingers caressing Luke's cheek. "And if they found a tumor or something, I'll make sure you won't die a virgin Lukey." He giggled and climbed on Luke. They kissed for a while, tongues brushing and hands roaming their bodies. Until they had to leave to the clinic.

The way to the clinic was silent, Ashton was driving, eyeing at Luke here and then, but the blonde was looking through the window distractedly.

"We're here." Ashton said about ten minutes later. He parked the car near the clinic and it was silent for a while. Luke was nervous and he probably wouldn't admit it but something in his guts screamed that it wouldn't be okay, that something was wrong with him and that today would be the beginning of a new life.

"Let's just go to the beach." Luke said after a while.

"What?"

"Let's go to the beach, I don't care about those exams." He said, his eyes were begging.

"Luke, no you can't do that." Ashton grabbed his hand.

"Please, I don't wanna go in there Ash." He whined. "Please, I-I'm scared."

"Luke, hey." Ashton grabbed his hand and entwined their fingers. "Look at me." Luke did as told, his hands were shaky. "You got this okay? You're my little warrior right?" He kissed his knuckles. "You're gonna go in there and the exams are gonna be just fine. Then they'll give you a new treatment and I'll take you to the beach afterwards if you still want to go."

"I'm not sure Ash-"

"It's gonna be okay babe." Ashton squeezed Luke's hand. "We gotta go now."

Luke nodded slightly and they walked to the clinic, Ashton didn't let go of Luke's hand even when they got upstairs. Doctor Henderson was already here, waiting for the blonde. When Ashton started to walk away from the blonde, he started to panic and Ashton tugged him into a hug.

"It's okay." He said caressing his curls. "Everything is gonna be okay, I'll be there when you're done."

Luke pressed their lips together and he kissed Ashton for a while, it was sweet and soft until Dr Henderson cleared his throat. Luke pulled out, a small smile on his face. Everything would be fine right?

The exams were long, Luke got in a scanner, and then they made some other things that he couldn't remember the name of. Doctor Henderson was there the whole time, smiling softly and nodding with the other doctors at the sight of the results. Luke was sat on the chair, legs pressed against his chest and arms wrapped around his long legs. Three doctors were talking outside the office, he could see them through the transparent walls. They were nodding and looking at the different paper.

Luke got very nervous when one of the doctors started to frown. It was just a little frown but a frown is a frown. Was it a tumor? Maybe Luke had cancer and that's why he was crazier those days? Maybe he was going to die and everything would be over in a few weeks. Maybe he-

"Luke, you okay?" Doctor Henderson said when he entered the room.

The blonde nodded. Doctor Henderson smiled softly and he patted Luke's shoulder. He adjusted his glasses on his nose and he sat on the desk facing the blue-eyed boy. He looked relaxed and that made Luke feel better for a few seconds.

"So I got your results." He said, Luke tensed his hands were shaking and he could already feel tears building in his eyes. "Everything is just fine, the scan is clear nothing is wrong with your brain."

Luke let out a relieved sigh. Clear.

"No tumor?" Luke asked, he needed to hear it.

"No tumor." He handed the scan to Luke. "See." He pointed. "Nothing, it's clear."

"Clear." Luke closed his eyes. "S-so what's wrong with me? Why the pills are not working anymore?"

"You know, the intermittent explosive disorder is working with what we call 'phases', there are six phases for this disorder. In your case Luke, you were in phase five since you were a kid." He cleared his throat, Luke was looking at him drinking his words. "The thing is you're not in phase five anymore, you're in phase three."

"What does that-"

"It means that your disorder is decreasing." Doctor Henderson smiled. "That's why the pills are not working, they're too strong and if they're used on people with 'low phases' like you, they're completely useless and can even accentuate the disorder."

Luke stopped breathing for a few seconds, realizing that finally, he wasn't as sick as he thought he was.

"How is that possible?" He asked. "Why I am in phase three now?"

"Puberty, probably." He sighed. "We're not fully sure, and we can't explain that change, but the thing is that your disorder is not as important as it was before." He smiled and patted Luke's shoulder. "I have your new pills and as soon as you're going to start taking them you're going to see the difference." Luke nodded. "I'm not saying that the disorder is going to disappear, you'll have good days and very bad days like before, but the pills will help."

"Thank you." Luke said getting up and hugging doctor Henderson. "Thank you so much." Tears were falling down his cheeks and he felt so relieved.

"You're welcome Luke." He said hugging back. "I'm gonna call your parents now and send them all the documents, I'll explain them everything." He rubbed Luke's back. "But for now you should check on that friend of yours waiting in the hallway. He seemed really worried."

"It's m-my boyfriend actually." Luke giggled through the tears.

"Even better." Doctor Henderson pulled out. "Now go, I'm gonna call your parents."

Luke thanked him again, the old man gave him the new pills, explaining to him how and when taking them and listing all the secondary effects that may happen.  Ten minutes later Luke was in the hallway, looking for Ashton. The brunette was pacing nervously and when he saw Luke he walked to him quickly.

"How was it?" he asked impatiently.

"I'm fine." Luke said while Ashton tugged him into a hug. "He said that my disorder was decreasing, and the pills were too strong, that's why it was worst those days."

"So you're fine? Everything is fine?" Ashton said kissing his temple softly.

"Yeah..." He snuggled his nose into Ashton's neck. "I'm still a weirdo but I'm not as weird as before... I guess." He giggled.

"Yes but you're my weirdo." Ashton giggled too, he kissed Luke's cheek repetitively and then he entwined their hands. "You're ready to go?"

Luke nodded, smiling happily.

"Can we go to the beach now?"
