Maya showers and puts on some clothes. She is wearing a grey long sleeve top and red checkered pyjama bottoms.
"You look cute." Sebastian says turning his head away from the TV. Maya is patting her hair dry with a towel.
"I just got out of a relationship and you're flirting with me?"
"It's just a compliment. But even if I was flirting who cares?" He grins.
She rolls her eyes and grabs the remote.
"Hey I am watching that!" He says.
"Frozen?"
"Why not? Elsa is a badass." He shrugs.
"Oh and by the way you received like 500 calls from someone called Katie."
Maya quickly grabs her phone and rings her back. Two rings after she answers.
"Where the hell have you been?" She shouts.
"Long story, what's up?"
"Are you alone?" She asks.
I put it on loud speaker.
"I'm with Ciara's brother."
"Wh-what?" She stutters.
"Hello Katie." Sebastian says.
"I'll explain later but what's up?" Maya asks.
"I tried to get a hold of you before but the calls wouldn't go through."
"Sorry my phone died. I was in the shower whilst it was charging."
"Anyway where's Amy?" She asks.
"She's staying over at her parents house, why?" Maya asks.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes Katie why are you asking this."
"Maya... I came over to talk to about Ciara. About how they had found your blouse. As I was about to get out of the car I saw Amy... and Jake."
"He must have come to break up with me. Me and Jake are no longer together."
"No Maya I saw him. I saw him kissing Amy."
Colour drains from Maya's face. Her body feels numb and she is unable to move. Her mouth is slightly ajar and her eyes are wide open.
"Maya are you there?" Katie says.
Suddenly Sebastian stands up and Maya comes back to reality.
"Y-yes I'm here."
Sebastian walks over to Amy's room and Maya follows him.
"What are you doing?!" She asks.
He doesn't reply. Instead he looks through Amy's things trying to find something. He walks towards her bedside table and opens the drawer.
In his hands are scrunched up pieces of paper.
"I know that I said I will only write down the positive and meaningful parts of my life but today I saw something I shouldn't have. There's a girl who lives a few doors away from me. Her name is Amy. I caught her kissing her best friends boyfriend on my way out. I stood there like an idiot and they saw me watching them. She called me a freak and told me to keep my mouth shut. I have to tell her. I can't keep this a secret. I kept a secret once and it destroyed my family."
"I've just seen them again. I came back from the gym when I saw them kissing. I heard him say that he should get going before Maya got back. She saw me watch them again. The boy left and as I was about to open my door she spun me around against the wall and wrapped her hand around my neck. You didn't see anything, got it! That's what she said. I told her that Maya deserves to know. her grip became stronger around my neck that I could barely breathe. I know that I need to tell her but I'm afraid."
"After a whole month I thought I had the courage to tell her. I walked up to the door and just as I was about to knock I heard Amy's voice. I just stood there listening to their conversation. I heard Maya encouraging Amy to go out but she refused. I stood outside the door not realising that Maya had come out staring at me. I could have told her then but I was scared. I walked away like a fool. As I got to my door Amy walked out and saw me. She didn't approach me but looked at me with cold eyes and went back inside."
Sebastian looked up at Maya who was crying.
"Oh my gosh." Katie whispers on the phone.
"This is what Ciara meant when she said she wanted to tell you something but didn't want to hurt your feelings." Sebastian says.
Maya remembers when Amy mentioned a girl she had met when she shut the laptop. She grabs her laptop and opens it. She gets the password correct.
"How did you know?" Sebastian asks.
"Because it's the same password at the library."
She doesn't know what to look for. She checks her files but there is nothing there so she clicks on the internet. She goes through the history and gasps.
"Easiest way to kill someone."
"How to kill someone leaving no trace."
"How to dispose a body."
"How long does it take for a body to decay?"
"Stupid bitch, I'm going to kill her!" Sebastian walks back and forth across the room.
"We need to take all of this to my dad." Katie says.
"We need to get out of here she might come back... I can't believe I'm living with a murderer. I thought I knew her." Maya can't believe it. Amy was there comforting her and telling her everything is going to be okay when all along she knew!
"Nothing is going to happen to you Maya, I'm here." Sebastian says.
"I need her to confess." Maya says.
"We have proof she did it Maya." Katie says.
"No. I want to hear her say it. I don't remember much about that night and she knows why."
"Maya that isn't a good idea. She's dangerous!" Katie shouts.
"I have a plan." Sebastian says.
