"We should go look for her," Ali said.
"But Ali-"
"We have to."
"I don't mean we shouldn't, we thought of that already, but we need food. I don't think we're getting home any time soon. Sandy and Ed will come with me to find her. You and Tom make sure we eat tonight."
"How about you and Ed stay here," Ali suggested.
"I'm going, she's my sister. Ali, we can't completely trust them on their own. You know boys."
"Actually, no I don't," she rolled her eyes. "But fine. I'll stay here. Good bye."
Ali shoved Cocoa over to her new partners and poked Tom in the arm.
"Wake up, Sleeping Beauty."
"Is it already 7?"
"No."
"Then let me sleep, Mom."
Latching onto his arms and bracing herself against a tree, Ali hauled Tom up.
"You. Me. Food. Now."
"Wait what? Oh yeah. Sure."
Pulling him further into the forest, Ali peered around.
"Do you know any edible food we could find here?"
"How about some hemlock?" he suggested, very un-innocent.
"Very funny, but I am not eating anything poisonous. Any real ideas or will it be my very limited knowledge and you as a taste tester finding our food.
He yawned and scratched his head, slumping down on a birch tree.
"I guess."
"You do realize that Maria is missing."
"Yeah- wait, she's gone? Where'd she go? Because I would like a first class ticket."
"Ever wonder where the other three are? Looking for her. Just like we are supposed to be looking for food. So let's get moving."
Two hours later, they arrived back at the spot named 'Camp' their arms filled with food. With no basket to carry it in, they couldn't exactly get as much as they wanted, but the six - or five - would make do in Ali's opinion.
"Time to sleep," said Tom, stretching and sitting down.
"Sure. But you're on watch duty in a hour."
"What are we watching for."
"Our friends."
"Good night."A/N I wrote this a bit quicker than I meant to, so it might not be as good as it could have been, but I figured it had been a while since I last updated, so I probably should. Sorry, I'm really bad at updating on time.
On an entirely different note, anybody have any questions? I can likely answer them, just comment.
