Astonishment claimed all four Pines, Mabel frozen as she stared at the demon before her.
"Y-You're... saying I'm... Your lost... Queen?"
Bill gave a nod, standing once more.
His eyes welled up as he smiled brighter towards her.
"Yes! I felt your soul when you first arrived but I couldn't pinpoint it to you yet! It was when Gideon summoned me into this world, into Stan's mind, that I figured out it was you! You are my reincarnated Queen, Mabeline Cipher!"
She was speechless, staring at him in complete astonishment.
"She's not your queen! She's my sister!"
Bill looked up to Dipper, raising a hand to snap when someone grabbed his arm.
"No, don't! Please don't hurt him Cipher!"
Cipher? She never called him that, why did that slip out now?
He stopped, looking down to Mabel who clung to his arm.
He was at least two feet taller than her, and yet she still managed to grab his arm.
"Please?"
The looks in her eyes were begging him not to, making him sigh and lower his hand.
"Alright... I won't hurt him."
A bright smile crossed her face and for a split second he saw her, Mabeline before him.
"But only this once! If he gets in the way again... I'll... do minimal damage."
Mabel nodded.
"Alright!"
Dipper seemed relieved to not be turned into who knows what, wiping his hand over his face.
Bill turned, suit jacket billowing out.
"Alright, I'll let you choose! You may come and stay with me, or you may stay with your family! I'll give you a few days to think about it!"
He gave a final smile, turning back to his triangular form.
"I'll be watching you! Always watching!!"
And he vanished from the shack, color returning to the world around them.
Mabel was speechless, Ford rubbing his forehead.
"Are you alright Mabel?"
"Mabes?"
Dipper was sure she was going to flip, whether good or bad was the question.
"I'm..."
She paused, her hands clenching into fists before she whirled, pumping both in the air.
"Awesome!! I'm a demon queen?! How cool is that?? I have to tell Candy and Grenda!! Do you think that means I have powers?!"
Mabel was beyond excited strangely, seeming more concerned over having powers than having once been the queen of Bill Cipher.
Before any relative of hers could say anything she dashed inside, completely excited to tell her two best friends.
Dipper was still processing what he'd just learned, his sister? A demon queen? Not possible, he had to have mixed her up with someone else.
"Grunkle Ford, I need some chalk."
Ford raised an eyebrow as Dipper took a few steps forward, carefully measuring out the area he needed as Ford handed him the requested chalk.
"What is it you plan to do Dipper?"
Circle drawn, symbols in place and journal in hand Dipper cleared his throat before carefully reciting the chant.
When finished, the circle began to glow, the monotone scale sweeping over.
"I'm asking for details."
Almost as soon as he'd answered, Bill appeared, doing a little twirl before taking his more human form.
"Pinetree! I was hoping it was Shooting Star but oh well! What can I do for you? You wanna make a deal?"
A grin crossed his face as Dipper sighed, closing his journal.
"No, I want to ask some things. what did you mean by your queen? Are you sure it's Mabel? How did you know?"
He wanted to know everything, firing questions until Bill threw up both hands.
"Whoa, whoa! One question at a time dammit!"
Both sighed before Bill put up a hand.
"Okay, first question. I believe it was asking what I meant?"
Dipper nodded, the demon giving a sigh before taking a seat in his circle.
"Very well, I'll tell you how I lost Mabeline Cipher..."
Dipper sat down before him, Ford copying him.
"Over four hundred years ago, we accepted a deal. The one who summoned us asked for the code to someone's safe. Before the man was assassinated, and we had the approximate time they would kill him. We'd almost completed it when the dream started to collapse, his entire mindscape falling into nothing. I managed to escape but..."
His gaze slid to the ground, turning his head away.
"They killed her, by killing the man. It was never a deal for a code, it was a trick set up to kill us. The dream collapsed and Mabeline fell with it."
Both Pines looked from Bill to each other before Ford gave a sigh.
"I'm sorry Bill, we had no idea..."
Bill gave a wave of his hand.
"Of course you didn't, it was over four hundred years ago. But even so...it's part of the reason why I hate humans really."
He gave a sigh, running a hand through his hair before smiling and gesturing.
"Anyways... what was the next question?"
Dipper looked up quickly, hesitating as he tried to remember.
"...yeah, how did you know it was Mabel?"
Bill leaned back, giving a shrug.
"I just... knew. When I ran into you guys in Stan's mind, I just felt her presence with Mabel, I mean... Shooting Star. Before Mabeline fell she promised she would return one day... And I believe she has now..."
Both Pines fell silent, not sure what else to say before Ford cleared his throat.
"Are you going to try and convince her to go home with you?"
The demon shook his head, running a hand through his already messed up hair.
"No, I wouldn't be able to bring myself to do that. I'll leave it at her choice, I would rather her want to be with me then force her..."
Dipper tilted his head.
"Well, I appreciate it. I'd rather her not be forced to go."
Bill shrugged before resting his chin on his palm.
"Of course, now, is there any other questions? I really need to get back to work."
Dipper raised a hand.
"Yeah, Mabel wanted to know if this meant she had powers. She wants to tell Candy and Grenda."
Bill was silent before giving a low chuckle, the sound rising to a full laugh.
"Only Mabel would wanna know about that..."
