After having succeeded in getting the unicorn hairs, Wendy proposed a water fight outside.
"If we're all dirty, why not just have a water fight to get clean?"
Candy squealed.
"That sounds like so much fun!!"
"Yeah, water fight!"
Grenda gave a war cry as Mabel ran inside to find some water guns and balloons.
"Dipper! We're gonna have a water fight, wanna join?"
He shook his head.
"Nah I'm good, can we borrow your glue for the hair?"
She pulled a bag of balloons from her drawer.
"Sure! Try not to use a lot though, I still need it."
She giggled as Dipper took it from her shelf.
"Sure things Mabes! We'll do our best!"
She raced downstairs, Dipper headed outside to meet with Ford.
"Wendy!! I found the balloons and guns! Get the hose!"
She raced out the front door, opening the bag as Wendy ran off to find the hose.
"I want the blue ones!"
Candy shrieked, picking them out.
"I'll take the green!"
Wendy returned, hose in hand as she plugged it to the water pipe.
"Wendy! Yellow or red?"
She gave a shrug, returning to where they were.
"You choose Mabes, you got them."
Mabel gave a big smile before picking out the red ones.
"Okay! Let's get them filled up now!"
All four pulled the hose over, beginning the process.
It was about half an hour before they finished, Mabel groaning.
"That took forever."
They'd ended up soaked just from trying to fill up each balloon.
Mabel giggled, removing her sweater and letting it sit on the porch.
"You guys still up for it?"
Wendy gave a grin, Candy squealed, and Grenda gave a war cry.
"Let's get started!!"
Mabel scooped up one of her balloons, chunking it at Wendy who shrieked when it exploded all over her.
"I will claim revenge!!"
Before long, they were running all over the place, screaming as balloons hit them.
Mabel laughed when one exploded on her face, tripping and face planting the ground.
"This is awesome!! We should've done this ages ago!"
She scrambled to her feet, last one in hand when she realized everyone had used all theirs.
"Huh...I have a solution."
She tossed it in the air, squealing when it smashed into her head and exploded.
"That was fun. Come on, let's go inside and get dried off before we get sick."
She giggled, Candy and Grenda leading the way.
She stopped partway, waving to Wendy before heading around the house. Sure enough, they were there.
The last piece of hair was glued into place, a pink rainbow shine shield appearing before vanishing once more.
"Oh! I thought you guys had finished ages ago!"
Dipper shook his head, looking up towards her.
"Nah, hard not to drop them you know."
She giggled, turning and heading back to the porch.
Yawning slightly, she headed up the stairs and inside, getting greeted with a towel from the bathroom.
"Here, I went ahead and grabbed you one."
Mabel took it, heading to her room to dry off and change.
She'd just pulled on a clean sweater when Dipper walked in, flopping down on his bed.
"Hey Bro-Bro?"
Her brother looked up to her, sitting up.
"Yeah?"
She hesitated, question hanging on his throat before she took a deep breath.
"You think that when I become more like... the demon queen, I'll end up being affected by the Bill-proof shield too?"
He didn't answer, both pondering the possibility.
Neither knee how to continue this conversation, before Dipper groaned.
"Come on Mabel, even if you do become affected by it, I'll stay outside of it with you. Twins forever."
She looked to him, surprised at first before a smile spread on her face.
"As if! I'd shove you in the shack! Like I'm gonna let you stay in the danger zone!"
Both siblings laughed but she felt slightly more comforted about the situation.
"If I'm truly his queen, Bill won't hurt me so I should be okay outside of the shack. If he acts, maybe I can keep him occupied long enough that you guys could come up with a plan."
She sat on her own bed, swinging her socked feet before pulling them off, replacing them with new ones.
"That's a good idea! You should be okay, but even so, I don't trust Bill."
She gave a shrug at him.
"Yeah, I'm just betting on the only fact right now. I still don't trust him either."
Even if she loved him in a past life.
After another moment of silence she got to her feet, heading downstairs to her friends once more.
Dipper watched her go, worry only growing before putting his hands to his head.
After a moment, he got up too, heading for the vending machine and punching in the code.
Heading down the stairs he found Ford, already working on something.
"Grunkle Ford?"
The six fingered genius looked up, stopping his project as he spotted the child.
"Yes Dipper, what is it?"
The younger twin was nervous, wringing his hands together before taking a deep breath.
"Mabel brought something to my attention."
Curious, Ford stood up, sitting in his seat as he looked towards Dipper.
"You seemed worried, how bad is it?"
Dipper gave a sigh.
"If she's right, it could be pretty bad...what if the shield rejects her entrance the closer she becomes to being more like the demon queen Bill says she is?"
Ford's eyes widened, lips pursing before putting a hand to his forehead in, sighing deeply.
"I... I hadn't even thought of that. I was trying to keep you guys safe and I could have just put her in more danger by doing so..."
Dipper ran both hands down his face, sitting in the other chair.
"I was afraid you might say that..."
Both were silent before looking to each other once more.
Neither knee how to fix this, Dipper looking towards him as an idea came to mind.
"I know something that might work."
Ford looked to him as well.
"We keep her from figuring out more of her powers."
