Dipper was getting even more anxious the longer it took. The shack had retreated, the wave of weirdness been called back.
Had she defeated him?
Hopefully she returned soon to answer.
"If Mabel's fully realized her powers, I don't think she'll ever be able to get in the shack again."
It was Ford who pointed out the fact, not because it was wanted but because it was needed.
"Maybe she can stay with Wendy?"
Wendy nodded, looking towards her dad.
"I wouldn't mind, she saved our lives. And she's really cool anyways."
Dipper don't like this, he really didn't. And his worry was only growing the longer this took.
He wanted to go back when he saw the last of the palace crumble from the air, returning the town back to normal. He began pacing, an attempt to keep himself calm.
"That must mean she won."
"There!"
Pacifica seemed awfully excited as she pointed past them.
"It's Mabel!"
He stopped mid pace, looking in the direction Pacifica pointed.
A his shoulders slumped in complete relief.
There she was, walking up the path. Her sweater was white, hair now messy and streaked with white as well. Her eyes had a light blue tint to them and she looked exhausted.
No one moved as she came to a stop in front of everyone, hand grasping her other arm.
No one said anything for a long time, that just looked towards her.
Finally, a smile spread on her face.
"I won."
Cheers broke out, Dipper catching his sister as she collapsed.
"The Falls is ours again!"
"Mabel saved us!"
"You're the best!"
Mabel couldn't help but laugh, watching the whole population celebrate behind Dipper.
"That was awesome, Mabes!"
He gave a big grin, Mabel imitating it before yawning widely.
"I'm not gonna be able to go in the shack anymore. Unless you find a way to take the shield down."
Dipper looked towards Pacifica.
"Grab a blanket!"
The girl didn't argue, racing into the shack to find one.
"We'll have to find a place for her to stay until we can find away for her to get in the cabin."
"No, problem! Mabel is more than welcome at my place until then!"
"She could always stay with us!"
The Pacifica returned with a blanket, gently wrapping Mabel in it who took a seat.
"Dipper, Pacifica. I need to tell you something. You can't tell the others."
Both of the children looked at each, nodded as took a seat across from her.
The discussion seemed to fade out as she took a deep breath.
"I made a deal with Bill. Told him I would move to the dreamscape with him if he drew back Weirdmageddon."
"You what?"
Pacifica was astonished but Dipper was just blank. He didn't know how to react.
After a moment, he took a shaky breath.
"...did he accept it?"
There was a moment of silence.
Then Mabel sighed.
"No."
"The why did he end Weirdmageddon?"
Northwest was confused as hell at this.
Mabel opened her mouth, closing as if thinking. Then she opened it again.
"He didn't want to force me to go with him."

"We'll move to the dreamscape with you."
Both were silent, her hand outstretched. For a second, he reached out, ready to accept it but hesitated.
All at once, he pulled his hand back.
"No...I don't want you coming to me because you feel you need to. I'd...rather you choose to willingly come home."
She was astonished, slowly lowering her arm.
Suddenly she doubled over in pain, crying out as she wrapped both arms around herself.
"Mabeline?! What's wrong?!"
Bill moved forward, immediately catching her before they both kneeled on the ground.
"Her body can't hold me here much longer..."
His worry turned to absolute despair.
"No, you can't leave again! I already lost you once, I can't do it again!"
She gave a soft smile, looking up at him.
"Mabel is a sweet girl, you'll love her just as much, I promise."
He trembled, trying not to cry all over again.
"So if I don't, you'll come back?"
She gave a soft laugh, the sound that had always brought a smile to his face, only brought tears.
"Let's make a deal...you pull back Weirdmageddon, and return to the charming demon you once were, and one day you'll win over Mabel. Prove you're the same demon I fell in love with so long ago."
She leaned dagianst him, holding out her hand once more.
"But, what will you be giving me?"
He didn't want to take her hand, he didn't want to seal such a thing.
She smiled once more.
"The love of an amazing girl."
She reached over taking his hands, not to shake it but to hold it gently. Her other hand rose, swiping a stray tear from his face.
"Start with, looking after her..."
He lost it, his tears streaming down his face before he leaned down, ever so gently kissing her for the last time.
When he broke it he took a shaky breath.
"...it's a deal then."
Sighing, she gave a final smile letting her eyes close. Then Blue flames swept over her, turning her back to the twelve year old girl. He couldn't hold himself back, hugging her sleeping figure tightly as he sobbed, burying his face in her hair.
"I'll never hurt you, never again."
Even if it meant never taking over the town, for her. Mabeline was gone, the love of his life was forever gone. But...he'd made a promise to her. He intended to keep it.
Carefully he stood, Mabel in his arms as he gently floated out of the pyramid. There, he carefully laid her on the ground.
Then he whirled, eyes turning bright red and threw up both hands. The entire wave came crashing back, the palace crumbling into nothing then he was yanked from his physical form, the human form statue standing silently with his hands up.
Looking back to her, he watched as she slowly stirred, opening her eyes to reveal the bright blue mixed in with the brown. Then the white streaks slowly slidghrough her hair. She stood to her feet, looking around for a second before her gaze landed on his statue. What he saw wasn't hate or negative but rather sorrow.
Tears sliding down his face, he floated back towards the rift and let it close behind him.

"But he let me go, pulling back Weirdmageddon." She pulled her blanket tighter, a shudder going down her spine. She understood him now.
