Note- THIS CHAPTER WILL NEVER HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE I PROMISE! This is just a short Christmas special for the holidays but this is NOT a real chapter happening in the future of the actual book. ALSO- This special is taken place 13 years in the future when Kara is 31 years old. JUST TELLING YOU! Enjoy reading!

December 24th, 2031, Kara's house.

"I thought I was gonna put the star on the tree!" My daughter Rina yells up at me. I sigh and bend down, looking at her in her puppy dog eyes. "Rina, you know Aubrey already said she was going to a few weeks ago, I told you this already," I say, standing back up. She groans and walks to the living room, sitting on the floor with her Barbies sprawled out everywhere.

"Rina picks up your toys too, grandma and grandpa don't like messes remember?" I say to her before walking to the window, looking in the driveway to see if AJ has shown up with the sleds yet. The sleds are just an early Christmas present for the kids, Rina, Aubrey, and Spencer will probably love them. Spencer, my only son has been complaining about how he hasn't gotten to sled at all this winter yet.

We never owned sleds for them in the past which is why he was complaining. "Mom! Spencer won't stop throwing my Barbies into the ceiling-fan!" My other daughter Aubrey yells at me. I turn around and see Spencer holding one of her dolls, the body in one hand and it's head in the other.

I gasp, "Spencer Adam Smith! You put that head back on the doll and hand it back to your sister!" I yell at him. He gives me an angry face and hands the doll back to his sister, Spencer runs back up the stairs and I hear his room door slam. "Aubrey go help Rina clean up her toys in the living room," I say.

She walks over to her sister and helps her clean up her dolls that are on the floor. Rina and Aubrey run upstairs for a quick two seconds before racing back down to open the front door as the doorbell rang. The door swings open and I see my parents as they are holding tons of food. Aubrey and Rina take some stuff for them and set them on the tall counter.

I watch as my parents give the kids a hug and my mom turns to me, taking in my presence which she hasn't seen in a while. "Hi, mama," I say, giving her a huge hug. I pull away and see a couple of small tears dripping down her face. I haven't seen my mom in years and after I had the kids she couldn't come to visit due to a severe storm.

"My goodness, I haven't seen you in so long!" She says, holding both my hands in hers. She sighs and turns to the door and I see AJ step through the door with his hair covered in snow. He stomps the snow off of his boots and my parents go to give him a hug well, my mom anyway. My dad just shakes his hand. Dad has never been too fond of AJ, he said he was a good man at Thanksgiving but that was the end of that conversation.

"Hey, honey," AJ says, kissing me on the cheek before walking to the kitchen to set some stuff down. He takes his gloves off and sets them down before walking over to the kids and giving them all gigantic hugs and kisses on the cheeks.

I look over at the clock and realize that it's time for bed for Aubrey, Rina, and Spencer. I turn back to the kids, "okay, time for bed if you don't sleep then Santa won't come and bring presents for tomorrow." I tell them. They all whine and head upstairs anyways with AJ, who is most likely going to tuck them in.

"We'll be back tomorrow for the kids to open their presents." My mom says. I give a confused look, "I thought you would sleep in the guest room for tonight." My dad looks down at my small mother who shrugs her shoulders. "That's up to the scrooge behind me dear." She says, smacking my father on the chest.

"Ba humbug." He says, walking with my mother down to the guest room. AJ comes back downstairs and he walks over, kissing my hand. "Shall we drink hot chocolate and watch a Christmas movie?" AJ asks me, stepping forwards.

"Yes, we shall," I say, walking with him to the couch. I sit down and he sits beside me, turning on the TV so we can continue watching our previous Christmas movie. He leans over and whispers in my ear, "Merry Christmas Kara."

"Merry Christmas AJ."
