Chapter 18. Beautiful.

"Masie we are going to be perfectly fine, you have Mikey and I have AJ," I tell her, trying not to move as my aunt fixes my hair. Prom is tonight, AJ is excited to see my dress. Mine is baby blue while Masies is a pale pink.

My aunt finishes my hair and she walks me over to change into my dress. After managing to get it on, my aunt zips it up and ties the back off with the two strings. She wraps a white jacket around my shoulders and smiles at the sight of me.

"You look....stunning my dear." She says, hugging me tightly. I mouth a thank you to her and turn towhee Masie is walking in her dress. "Damn, we look hot." She giggles.

I laugh and Masie and I grab each other's hands. We walk out through the hallway and I see AJ standing at the door with a corsage for me. I run to him and he scoops me up, twirling me around.

I laugh at his actions and he wraps one arm around my back. He kisses my forehead and hands me my corsage that matches my dress surprisingly. I smile at him, opening the small plastic box. He grabs the corsage and places it on my wrist.

"You look amazing," AJ whispers in my ear making me smile. "You as well Smith," I say, making him grin. "You guys are too cute, stop it," Masie says. AJ and I laugh before we walk out the door to the car.

Masie and I decided to take separate cars to have some probably with our significant other on the way to and from. AJ starts the car and starts driving, I hold his hand on the middle counsel of the car, staring out the window.

"Gosh, you are so beautiful." I hear AJ say from the driver's seat. I look over and see his eyes peeled on the road. I think he probably thought I couldn't hear him. "Thank you," I say to him, kissing him on the cheek.

I look out the window, watching as we pass houses and nature. AJ pulls into the school parking lot and parks the car in his usual spot. I unbuckle and open my door but AJ stops me, "What are you doing!?" He says.

I look at the door then him. "Opening my door..?" I say. He moves my legs and closes my door, getting out of the car. I see him walk to my side of the car, opening my door for me. I shake my head, taking his hand so I can get out.

"Jeesh, that's how it's supposed to go." He says, taking my hand in his as we start walking. We walk up the front stairs and see Masie and Mikey arrive. Surprisingly enough, Mikey is actually wearing a tuxedo. 

I turn to AJ, looking at his suit. I notice his tie is crooked so I release my hand from his and fix it. He tilts his head up, letting me straighten it out again. He puts his head back down, grabbing my hand from his tie, kissing it gently.

I smile before we start walking to school. We get inside and pass a few empty classes, heading to the gym. We enter the gym and people are dancing, drinking, and talking at tables. "Let's find a table," I say to AJ. 

Before I could walk anywhere, Masie's hand stops me. "Nooo! I wanna dance, Mikey and AJ can find a table!" She whines at me. I groan before getting dragged by Masie to the dance floor. We start dancing to an upbeat song, spinning each other around.

She laughs as I spin her around. The song comes to end since we started dancing in the middle of it and I leave her on the dance floor, walking to the table AJ and Mikey found. I sit down next to AJ, placing my feet across his legs.

He places his arms over them, sitting quietly. I notice he's watching people dance with their significant other. I sigh before standing up, holding my hand out to him. "What?" He says. "You obviously want to go dance so, now's your chance," I tell him, pulling him from his chair.

He groans, walking with me to the edge of the dance floor. A slower song comes on and AJ sneaks his hands around my waist, sending butterflies in my stomach. I place my hands on his shoulders and of course, I'm too short for him.

He lifts me up, setting my feet on his. I laugh, turning my head to the side. He starts dancing to the song and I look at him face-to-face. "Did I mention you're beautiful?" He asks me, making me laugh. "Yeah, I think so." I joke, making him smile.

"I'm glad that I have found you." He whispers in my ear, sending shivers down my spine. I look at his perfect green eyes. "Same here," I tell him, making him smile even more. AJ Smith is my one and only.
