[Hello, so this chapter is going to be a bit different. This is going to be on Kara's perspective of when she's dead. Thank you KennedyEve13 for the idea.]

÷Kara÷

I feel my eyes flutter open and I look around, green grass surrounding me. Everything is different, it seems brighter. "Good day Kara." I hear a voice say. I turn around and see a woman sitting on a stone, her legs crossed. I blink, "you must be wondering who I am." She says, standing up. She walks forward, sticking out her hand. "My name is Serene, goddess of Heaven eight."

I shake her hand and pull away, confused. "Dear, I know you must be very confused," Serene says. Well, she read my mind. "Kara, you're in heaven. You died in an accident a month ago." She tells me. DEAD!? "I'm d-dead?" I say. Serene nods her head and places her hands on my shoulders. "But don't worry, I'll be takin good care of ya." She says, a small southern accent coming out.

"Here, follow me," Serene says. She takes my hand and starts walking until we reach a flight of stairs that leads to a gate. She opens it and I realize that we're in the cemetery of my town. "See." Serene points to a headstone with MY NAME ON IT. I scream bloody murder and I close my eyes until I stop and wake up at the front doors of a hospital. I look around and see a person walking to the doors.

I try to get their attention but they walk right past me. I walk inside the hospital and walk through the long corridors, passing rooms full of people. I look in one room because I hear a familiar voice. I walk in and see AJ beside a bed with my sleeping body on it. "Woah.." I say. I sit in one of the nearest chairs and watch as he starts talking to "me" in air quotes.

"Kara, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left you, this would've never happened if I stayed with you and loved you." He says. AJ folds his hands and prays before standing and leaving my room. I follow him out and watch as he walks out of the front doors to his car. AJ drives away and I stand at the doors. "He's not worth following Kara." Serene's voice says from beside me.

"Isn't he? I loved him, Serene, and now I'm gone and I left him alone." I say, looking at her before turning back to look at the town. "Yes, that may be true but you know that you will always watch over him here," Serene says, walking away before disappearing. I close my eyes and take a deep breath and as I open my eyes, I look around and see I'm at my house.

I see Maisie sitting on the couch, watching TV while eating a spoon full of peanut butter. I sit beside her on the couch and she stays watching the TV before standing and walking to the kitchen to put her spoon in the sink. She walks back to the couch and sits down, turning the TV off. Maisie sits in silence for a few minutes before she walks to her room, sitting in the chair near the window. I watch as she just sits quietly, staring out the window. She doesn't move whatsoever. "Maisie, I'm here Maise," I say, sitting in the window sill.

Maisie shivers and continues watching out the window. "Maisie!" I hear a female voice yell. Maisie turns and stands up, rushing to exit the room. I walk out and watch as she hugs a tall girl before pulling away and smiling. "Jessie, thank god you're here," Maisie says, hugging the girl again. Jessie? Interesting. "How've you been? I heard that you saw Lee at Zeke's party." Jessie says to Maisie, sitting on the couch.

My couch. "I've been alright, been thinking about Kara," Maisie says, looking to the floor. Jessie sets her hand on Maisie's knee and gives her a reassuring smile. "Wanna go out to eat tonight? We've been staying in lately." Jessie suggests. Maisie's eyes light up as she nods. "That sounds nice," Maisie says, standing off the couch with Jessie. "Alright, I'll meet you at the dorms and we can go eat at five," Jessie says, putting her coat on.

Maisie waves her out the door and watches as Jessie pulls her truck out of the driveway. I close my eyes and I already know I'm at a different location. Thanks, Serene. "You're on your own now Kara, I think you can handle it from here." Serene tells me. I nod as she disappears. Death am I, right?
_______________________________________

Hey! This chapter is shorter because I didn't want to waste your time with Kara talking about how she's dead. Blah blah blah. Also, the hospital scene is because of Serene. She showed Kara what she was when she was dead.

Bye.
-Grace.
