The ever so fearful arguing between two siblings woke me up. I looked around the room I was in and saw a pile of clothes in the corner and a closet full of hoodies. Since all the clothes were men's clothing, I figured Jc must've carried me up to his room. I stood up and headed to the top of the stairs to see what was going on.
"Why the hell was Kate in your room when I got home last night?" Ashley freaked walking towards Jc.
"Because I didn't want her to sleep in the couch since we both know it's uncomfortable! Plus I couldn't take her home because you took the car and didn't get back here until after one" Jc replied backing away.
I felt bad for causing the drama between them so I texted Jc, hoping he had his phone with him. He pulled something out of his poclet and looked at me standing at the top of the stairs. He smiled and turned back to Ashley.
"Ash can we talk about this later?" he asked walking away.
"Whatever Jc, " Ashley replied.
Jc sped up the stairs and wrapped his arms around me when he saw me. He leaned in to give me a kiss but I turned my head away, avoiding the kiss.
"Jc I'm I don't think we can happen," I mumbled hiding my face.
"What? Why?" Jc asked grabbing my hand, leading me back into his room.
"Because you and your sister shouldn't be fighting like this. Especially over me."
"Kate.. "
I didn't reply, instead I sat on his bed. Looking up I saw him sitting at his desk with his hands on his head, facing the opposite direction from me.
"Jc," I started.
"Kate wait. I really need to say this." He interrupted, turning so he was facing towards me.
"Go ahead."
"Okay. I know we just really started talking yesterday, but I had this gut feeling about you. Like you would be an amazing girl, but I never knew I would fall for you."
"Jc, you know that I don't think we should be together."
"Why? Just because Ashley is my sister?"
"Yeah."
"Well we will talk to her, I don't even care if she'll hate me Kate."
"Jc. I will try to make it work. We can be together as long as you try to be friends with your sister. And she doesn't hate me for it."
Jc hopped off his chair and wrapped his hands around my waist. I leaned my head on his shoulder and just took a deep breath. It felt nice knowing he really liked me and that I had someone to give me hugs when I needed them.
"Kate?" I heard Jc whisper.
"Yeah?" I respond turning around.
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes Jc. It would be my honor."
