Chapter Twenty

"A tattoo?" Jc asks looking at me weirdly.

"Yeah. A tattoo. Why?" I respond glancing at the floor.

"Well it's just that you want a tattoo before your wedding."

"Yeah. So?"

"Most girls don't want a tattoo and I really didn't think you would want one."

"Well I do so chill."

"Babe. I didn't mean it like that!"

"Whatever."

I stormed up to my room and sat on my bed. Anger rose up inside of me and I really needed to break something. So I yanked the ring off my finger and placed it on my bed side table. I walk over to my picture of my mother and I and threw it on the ground. It shattered into many pieces so I carefully stepped around it. But I apparently wasn't careful enough and I stepped on a piece.

"OWWWW!" I screamed falling back words.

I slammed my head on the floor and the last thing I saw was Jc running into my room.

JCS POV

I bolted in Kate's room not even bothering to knock. I ran over to Kate at saw several pieces of glass stuck in her foot. Kate was also unconscious.

"Kian start the car!" I scream picking Kate up.

I see Kian run out of his room and into Kate's. He looks up at me and quickly runs downstairs.  I carry Kate to the car is and place her in the backseat. I climb in the back with Kate and place her head on my lap. Kian backs out of the driveway and speeds to the hospital.

When we got there I jumped out of the backseat not even bother for Kian to park and run inside the hospital.

"Help!" I tell the lady sitting at the front desk.

She picks up her phone and calls some nurses. Because five seconds later two people were taking her out of my arms. I follow them but one them stop me.

"Sir you can't come back here!" A nurse says.

"But she needs me!" I reply shaking.

"Sir what she needs is surgery. Now stay back here. We will come get you soon."

I backed off and wiped of the tears that I didn't even know were there. I slump back to the lobby and see Kian sitting there. I don't even bother telling him what happened because by the look on his face he knew. I pulled out my phone and went on Twitter.  I see that #KateCaylengetbetter is trending on Twitter. I decided to tweet something.

#KateCaylengetbetter is amazing. Thank you for caring about her. She will get better I hope.

I tweet it close my eyes so I can think. What if she doesn't get better? What if she doesn't remember me? What if she doesn't want to marry me? What if she doesn't love me anymore? Kian breaks me of my thoughts when he tells me we can go see Kate. I jump up and follow Kian down the long hallway and into room 205.

The first thing I see is Kate's foot bandaged up making me wince. Then I look up and see Kate, not the feisty but nice Kate. Its the unconscious Kate. I walk over to Kate and grab her hand.

"Hey babe! Its Jc. I just wanted to tell you I miss you and I love you very much. I can't wait to marry you and be the best husband ever. I can't wait to be the best parent to our two kids and two dogs. So Kate please wake up so we can make that happen."

I squeeze her hand lightly hoping she will squeeze back but I know she won't. I sit there with her hand in my hand for about half a hour before I feel a gentle squeeze on my hand. I look over at Kate and see her open her eyes.

"Jc?" she whispers.

"Oh my god Kate! I missed you so much!" I say jumping up.

"I missed you too. Can you get the doctor my foot hurts?"

"Anything for you!" 

I call the doctor and him and two nurses come in with medicine for Kate.

"Jc can I talk to you?" the doctor asks.

I look at Kate and she tells me to go.

"Yeah sure. What's up?" I ask walking into the hallway.

"Well Kate wasn't supposed to be up that fast. She was in a coma and she wasn't expected to be awake until at least next week. We looked at her brain activity and we figured out she actually was fighting the coma. Jc you must mean a lot to her."

"Yeah. I guess I do. Thanks doc."

"Yeah. Now Kate has to be here until noon tomorrow just so we can keep an eye on her."

"Okay."

I walk back into the room and see Kate sitting there watching tv that they had. I decided not to tell her what the doctor told me because I wanted her to relax.

"Jc?" Kate asked turning down the tv.

"Yeah?" I reply looking at her.

"I can't wait to get married to you. By the way I heard you talking to me."

I blush and just smile at her.

"By the way I'm taking you to get a tattoo tomorrow."
