The party ended around midnight and I was grateful it did. Don't get me wrong I loved but I really wanted to spend time with the guys back home.  We finally left around 12:45 after we finished cleaning up the party room. I hopped into the car and sat between Kian and Connor.

"How was your birthday?" Kian asks.

"Great," I reply putting on a fake smile.

"Kate what happened?"

"Shane was drunk and he tried to kidnap me... yeah. But Connor saved me."

The car was silent until we got home which I was perfectly fine with. I hopped out of the car and ran into my room. I took off my clothes and threw on a sweatshirt and shorts. I sat on my bed trying to fight tears from pouring out of my eye. But I couldn't hold back much longer and I started balling my eyes out. Apparently I wasn't quite enough because Jc and Connor came in my room.

"Kate, I'm so sorry I wasn't there to save you. I shouldn't have left your side. I should've never bought beer. I shouldn't have invited Shane. Kate I'm so sorry," Jc said sitting down next to me.

"Jc its okay. It can happen anywhere. Thank God Con was there," I said laying back on my bed.

"I guess so. Are you tired babe?"

"Yeah. Can you lay down with me?"

"Totally."

I shut my eyes trying to fall asleep but I couldn't help but listen to Jc's conversation with Connor.

"Thank you so much Connor. I may still be mad at you for kissing Kate but I can't stay mad forever. Thank you for saving her. You're the best friend I could ask for," Jc said making me smile.

"You're welcome. Plus I know how much you want to marry Kate. And with your one year anniversary coming up in a few months  I think it's the date to purpose. I can't let you have her get kidnapped," Connor said.

"I know but I'm proposing tomorrow."

"Great!"

"Connor good night. And thank you again."

"Night. And your welcome. Get some sleep you have a big day ahead of you."

I heard the door close. I also felt Jc put his arms around me. It was the perfect end to today. But the marriage thing is stuck in my head. I don't know if I'm ready to marry Jc. Yeah we've been dating for ten months (I know it's a little off but who cares!) but I don't know if I'm ready. Guess I'll find out tomorrow
