"You don't have to go," He follows me on fast feet as I walked through the maze that was Jungkook's mansion.
"I'm going,"
"It's okay, Aera, you don't have to," We enter our bedroom and Jungkook closes the door behind us while I slid open the panel that revealed our closet.
I whip my head around to face him, "I said I'm going. I'm fine with that, are you?"
He told me there's a big dinner in this venue tonight, apparently a bunch of the people in his line of work will be there. It's important. Jungkook keeps telling me that my absence won't hurt his reputation, and that it's okay if I can't handle it, but, "I feel like it's you who can't handle it."
"What?" He chuckled with a hand raking through his hair. He's bluffering.
"You don't want me to meet anybody after what happened at that club, am I not wrong?"
"...no," Jungkook's shoulders deflate as he rested his back against the wall. He stuffs his hands in his pockets and purses his lips at me, "They're not good people, alright? Most of them aren't. And big gatherings stress you out, don't they?"
"They do, but everything does. I'll just stay with you this time, for real. I'll drag you to the bathroom with me when I have to piss. You trust yourself, don't you?"
I should be thankful that he's being worried for me. If I don't show up, it'll be even weirder than before, considering the fact that we're now the country's favourite couple. There'd be rumours. Did we break up? Did Jungkook cheat on me? Did I cheat on him? Sooner or later, these questions would become facts.
"Okay," Jungkook breathes out, "I just want you to be safe. But if you want to come with me, I won't stop you."
I nodded, satisfied with the conclusion we arrived to. I turn my back to him and start rummaging through my wardrobe for something somewhat proper for a formal occasion. Jungkook takes a seat on the bed and I hear the blankets ruffle.
"Do you have anything to wear?"
I shrug while I flipped through my hoodies and summer dresses. "I never had to go anywhere special. And I threw away the dress I wore on the day we were at the club with that CEO."
I couldn't feel comfortable looking at it after that, as well as going to the same street, and seeing that face on the internet.
"I should take you to special places."
"It's okay, I know we don't have the time for that kind of stuff," I hummed, finding myself looking through Jungkook's suits.
"Hey," I paused to realize how stupid this'll sound. I'll say it anyway, "Maybe I should wear your suit."
I heard a snicker from behind me, "You'll look like you're wearing daddy's clothes."
He basically set me up for this reply, I turn around with a smirk, "I would be though."
I watched the red run to his cheeks with a proud smile. I look to his legs, those thighs look like a good seat right now. No, the dinner is in a few hours, back to business.
I face the closet again."You should just wear something casual."
"And look like a buffoon in front of women in diamond dresses and men in black suits?" This turning back and forth thing between Jungkook and the closet is really hurting my back. I give up and join him on the bed.
