"Welcome to the 501st shiney, I can promise you that the action never dies down here." The clone trooper Mars elbowed his fellow soldier who wore spotless white armor, free of the blemishes of battle. An indication that he hadn't quite been exposed to the worst of the war yet.

"Glad to be here, sir." the trooper replied, giving a perfect salute as he rose to stand. A crate of rations laid half-packed at his feet.

"Make sure those are packed and loaded onto the gunship." The lieutenant ordered the stiff newbie, pointing down to the crate. "We are leaving in ten."

"Yes sir, almost done, sir."

They stood in the thrumming hanger of a massive Republic cruiser, in the midst of preparing for the infiltration of the planet Geonosis.

This was the new clone's first ride with the 501st. He had only recently been added to the battalion after his graduation from the academy on Kamino.

His heart beat anxiously as the impending battle neared— alarms in the hanger alerting that their travel through hyperspace was drawing to an end. Countless other soldiers criss-crossed the cruiser's sectioned landing platforms, attending to their duties as was routine.

The clone looked out across the bustling hanger, watching as the gun ships were being loaded with weapons and rations for the battle. As supply crates were transferred from one transport to the next, and as clones of all ranks yelled orders in different directions, he watched— anxious and unsure.

Higher up the chain of command, Mars was one of those enforcers who directed the traffic of his identical brothers.

He pointed to another rookie slacking off on his duties and chewed into him in an instant— threatening to tell the General. His gruff voice cutting through the chaos.

The white-armored clone gulped and shrank back, not wanting to be next on his list. He returned to the rations that he was packing. His timid brown eyes cut away, gravitating towards an elegant sight taking shape between the shoulders and arms of a nearby group of clones. A face that stood out against the sea of carbon copy soldiers.

She stood with her arms crossed, her sharp, emerald eyes intently watching General Anakin Skywalker as he confidently reviewed the battle plan to a select group of men. Her cheek was tucked between her teeth, her posture still and poised.

The young trooper was taken aback, he had only ever heard of her from word of mouth. "Is that...?"

"Yes, that is." Mar returned from his scolding. "General's Skywalker and Ky. Generals of the 501st. They're your superiors."
