She walked through the doors of the control room, arms tight at her chest as they hissed open for her. The clone commanders looked up from the fried head of the tactical droid, smoke still radiating from the device. Rex stole a half-step in her direction upon her arrival, his hand remaining on the surface of the table he awaited her word.
"None of what's been discovered leaves this room." She said immediately, coldly. "Once Anakin and Obi-Wan return, we chart our next course of action. I want all transmissions funneled through this room and this room only."
Cody nodded at the order, already moving to the control computer to direct all transmission lines to their center. No one would be able to make contact outside of the base unless it was through their control room. For the time being. Precautionary measures.
Dakota moved to stand in front of the monitor, watching the spiderweb of transmission lines flickering out.
"Do we know when the General's will return?" Rex unhooked the wires from the severed tactical droid head.
She shook her head. "But knowing them, they'll get side tracked."
Cody's brown eyes caught sight of a low, rhythmic blinking just off the side of the keypad. His fingers halted over the keys. On a tray was a line of functional comm units. Three out of the four were shut off.. with one still blinking.
He went over to the table and picked up the device. "Someone left this comlink on." He announced, unwavering as he clutched the comm in his fingers. A muscle feathered in Rex's jaw. "Someone's been listening to everything we said..."
Dakota peered from around Rex's shoulder to the comm in Cody's hand. Its white light continued to blink. In a subtle display of anger, her fingers lifted to draw the comm to her by use of the Force. Once the device had zipped through the air, passed by the 501st Captain and made contact with her palm, it erupted in sparks. Demolished fragments sprinkled down to the floor. Her hand returned to her side.
Rex could only imagine what she'd do to the person on the other end of the comm.
"I'm going to have a look around." Rex informed, leaving his helmet behind.
The captain moved to the exit of the control room, the doors sliding open. That's when a shadowy figure shifted in their periphery, bolting from their hiding spot against the wall and making their way down the hallway.
"Hey, you! Stop!" Rex ordered, yelling out to the person who was fleeing the premises. Dakota remained still as Cody ran out of the room after Rex. Their new task, it would appear, was to capture this shadowy runaway.
