-Scott-

"Got anything?" Callum asks
"Just a couple missing persons reports." I say
"Anything on Jess?" He asks sitting in his chair.
"No." I say, "If you ask everyday, don't you think I would tell you if I did find anything on her?"
"Fair point." He says, "I'm just-"
"Worried." I finish. I look through some files.
"Emerald and Sophie Terraworth." I say, "Went missing a couple months ago. I don't know why it's coming up now."
"Hey." Lizzie walks in, she puts an envelope on my desk.
"What's this?" I ask
"A couple cases that came up." She says, "And Callum." She hands him a folder. He flips through the papers in it.
"Most of the stuff we've already found." He says
"Callum... Jess went missing over a year ago." Lizzie says, "Most of the stuff is gonna be hard to find. We're working with what we have."
"Hi." Shelby says, "I got some things."
"What kind of things?" I ask
"A little on Joel and one thing on Ursa." She says, "Lauren said she found something about Parker which she's getting now. There's a knock on the door.
"If she lost her keys again..." I say getting up. I open the door, there's a girl with a green hoodie standing there.
"Hi, are you Scott Major?" She asks, "Yes, you are. Mind if I come in?" She steps inside.
"Ok..." I say
"You're Ursa Major's brother, right? Yes, you are." She says, "Anyways, I'm Eli, Eli Terraworth. I am a boy, just saying."
"How-"
"Anyways." He says
"Wait, you're in my computer science class." Shelby says
"Yeah, you're the only one who actually does homework." He says, "You're also Parker Coppin's girlfriend." Shelby leans back in her chair.
"I am..." She says
"And boyfriend of Jess Hedley." He says, "And the girlfriend of Joel."
"Terraworth..." I say, "Ivory and Emerald Terraworth. Are you their brother or something?"
"You know them?" He asks
"I have their missing persons cases." I say. His face falls.
"Ivory isn't missing." He says, "I know exactly where she is."
"Then why is she still missing?" Callum asks
"Because she can't come back." He says, "If she comes back everything could fall apart."
"What-"
"Emerald never existed. She never has and never will." He says
"But-" He starts to walk out.
"Wait... Emerald Terraworth was in my class last year." Shelby says.
"Emerald Terraworth never existed." He turns around quickly, his hood falls. Long green hair falls past his shoulders. He hands me a folder and runs out.

-Callum-

"I don't know if we should consider that weird." I say
"We live in a town where murders and people disappearing is normal. I think that was fine." Shelby says
"What'd I miss?" Lauren asks. She sits in her chair and starts spinning.
"Not much." I say
"Eli Terraworth came over and said some... interesting things." Shelby says
"Who?" Lauren asks
"Yeah, exactly." I say
"Hello." A soft voice says from somewhere. We all look around.
"I'm not there." The voice says, "You talked to my brother earlier."
"You all year that too, right?" I ask looking up. They all nod.
"I'm Ivory Terraworth." The voice says, "I can't talk for long but if you find me, you can find out where Jess and Joel are and you could find out what happened to Parker and Ursa."
"Where are you?" I ask. There's no response. We all sit quietly. Lauren's chair squeaks as she spins.
"We have to find Ivory." I say
"What if it's dangerous or something?" Lauren asks
"But what if we do find her?" I say, "We could figure out what happened to everyone."
"I agree with Callum." Lizzie says, "We could figure out where people are and why people were killed, it would be beneficial for the whole town."
"Lauren does have a good point." Scott says, "It could've dangerous and as bad as it sounds, most of the town is used to people disappearing."
"Easy for you to say, you know what happened to Ursa." I say impulsively.
"I know what happened to Ursa?" He asks, "I have no idea what happened! I woke up one morning and my sister didn't! I'd rather have hope that she's alive than that."
"At least you know weather she's alive or not!" I say, slowly getting louder
"And she's not!" Scott practically yells.
"Guys!" Lauren yells, "In the best way possible, shut up."
"Ok, we have two to go find her and two to stay safe." Lizzie says, "Shelby, you're the deciding vote." We all start talking at once.
"Eli said that if Ivory comes back, everything could fall apart." Scott says
"But if we find her we could figure out what's happening to everyone." I say
"Everyone in the town is used to what happens. It could be dangerous." Lauren says
"This is-"
"Guys!" Shelby says, "Stop arguing." She spins in her chair.
"The pros of looking for Ivory. We can help her, we can figure out what's happening to the people who go missing and we can figure out why Parker and Ursa were killed." She says, "Cons, Eli said everything could fall apart if she comes back and it's risky."
"There's more pros than cons." I say
"Pros of staying here. We're safe, nothing changes, we continue with our lives." She says, "Cons, we don't save Ivory, we don't figure out what's happening, we don't find Joel and Jess and we don't get to go on an adventure." She says
"And your vote?" Lauren asks
"I say we do it." Shelby says, "We're all kinda miserable, just sitting around here all day. What do we have to loose?"
"Well-"
"That was hypothetical question." She says
"So I guess we're going then." Lauren says, "That's fine."
"But you were just against it." I say
"I was, but if we did end up going I wasn't going to throw a fit and refuse to come." She says.
"Yeah." Scott agrees
"Ok, after school tomorrow we can go to Eli and ask him where Ivory is or something." Lizzie says, "I have to get home." We all pack up our things and head back home.
