-Shelby-

The bells rings and everyone floods out into the hallway.
"Eli!" He stops but doesn't turn around. He pulls me into an empty classroom.
"I'm not going to tell you where Ivory is." He says
"Why?" I asks, "Don't you want your sister back?"
"Of course I do." He says, "But she can't-"
"Why not?" I ask
"Look at my eyes." He says, "What do you see?"
"Um... they're green?" I say
"What do you not see?" He asks. I stare at his eyes for an uncomfortably long time.
"Back to them being green." He says.
"Wait... your pupils..."
"Don't exist." He says, "I wasn't gonna tell you because you would be exposed to it, but you already have."
"Exposed to what?" I ask
"I'm gonna tell you once." He says, "We are the children of purple blood and golden eyes. You, and all you friends are one of us. Ursa and Parker are called 'The Infected.' When someone is infected, they're dangerous to all humans. The longer they're infected, the more dangerous they become, so they have to be... executed."
"And Je-"
"I'm not done." He says, "Jess and Joel were infected but more recently, they can still be saved. Then, there's the original Children of Purple Blood and- you get the point. You and your friends are descendants of the originals."
"What does that mean?" I ask
"You're half Children of- you get it. The difference is, you guys are half race meaning you are half Child of stuff and stuff. Half of your blood is red and half of it is purple and your eyes aren't gold." He says
"And what does that-"
"Have to do with anything?" He finishes, "There's a town, it's called The Town of- yeah, ok. That's where Ivory, Jess and Joel are."
"Where is-"
"That's all I can say." He says picking up his bag, "Don't tell anyone what I said." He walks out. A map appears in my hand.

"Everyone have everything?" Scott asks. Everyone nods.
"We can always stop at towns and villages along the way." Lauren says
"Let's got then." Callum says.

"We're close to the nearest town." I say looking at the map.
"That's good, the sun's setting." Lizzie says.
"Take this." A small, soft voice says. A sword appears in my hand.
"What the-" Before I can react, I'm soaring through the air, a sharp pain running through my side.
"Wing! Use your wings!" The voice says urgently.
"Wha-" I look around. I'm falling, fast.
"Use your wings!" The voice says.
"Wings?" I stop falling.
"What the-" I look behind me, giant wings, that definitely weren't there five seconds ago, are now spread across my back.
"Swing your sword." The voice says as I land.
"What-" I get knocked backwards by what seems like nothing.
"Get up or it will kill you!" I get up and look around.
"I don't see anything." I say
"Look for its eyes. They're bright red." I keep looking around until I spot something out of the corner of my eyes. I try to readjust the sword so it doesn't feel awkward in my hand.
"Swing!" I swing the sword aimlessly. I can feel something hit my side again, this time, blood spills out of my hip.

-Lauren-

"Lauren." I hear a voice says.
"Wha-"
"Shelby is in danger." The voice says, "Repeat after me. I call upon the sun, the moon and the stars. Let their spirit take form of an animal and assist me."
"I call upon the sun, the moon and the stars. Let their spirit take form of an animal and assist me." I repeat. I glowing purple ball appears in front of me. I big deer appears out of it. It looks like the sky at night, covered in stars. I looks at me and bows its head. It's antlers turn purple.
"Ask it to help you." The voice says.
"Can you help us?" I ask, "Something is hurting my friend." It bends down.
"Climb on its back." It stands up as I sit on its back.
"Repeat after me again. I call upon the sun goddess. Form a blade only to help light the way."
"I call upon the constellations. Help me fight." I say. I glowing sword appears in my hand.
"How do you know all theses things?" Scott asks
"You can't say anything about me."
"Um... I don't know." I say. The deer runs forward.
"Shelby!" I call out. I jump off the deer and run towards her.
"Look out!" The deer runs towards me. I black figure appears. I stand up and look at my sword.
"You have to fight it." The figure runs towards me. I swing the sword at it. A bear appears. It looks like it's made of stars, just like the deer. I bear runs towards the figure and tackles it.
"You have summoned Ursa Major, gain its trust." The bear disappears with the figure. The deer walks up to me, Shelby on its back.

"What happened?" Lizzie asks
"There was this weird... thing... that attacked her." I say
"The town is close." Lizzie says, "We should get going."
