"Alex! Skye! It's time to go!" I call. I head down the hall and knock on Skye's door.
"Skye, you ready?" I ask. She opens the door.
"Yup!" She says
"Alex!" I call, "Are you ready?!"
"Oh my god, Alex." I mumble.
"Ari, Alex is downstairs!" Jamie calls
"Kay, thanks!" I head downstairs into the living room, "Alex, are you ready?" They stare in front of them.
"Not this again." I say. I walk over to them.
"Alex!" I practically shout.
"What? Oh." They say
"You did it again." I say, "Are you ready? We need to go."
"Not yet." They say
"I told you to get ready." I say
"Sorry, it's not my fault I spaced. I can't do anything about it." They say
"Yes you can." I say, "You refuse to get help, you refuse to tell people what's wrong with you. If you had just told somebody-"
"Telling somebody is how I got my brother and my sister killed." They say, "My childhood wasn't exactly filled with me trusting people 24/7."
"And you think mine was?" I ask, "I know it was bad but stop using the past as an excuse in the present. This wouldn't be happening if you told-"
"All they do is put you in a room where you can't 'hurt anyone' until you're 'not dangerous' anymore." They say, "And I'm not dangerous so I'd just be sitting in a room for weeks."
"They do more than that!" I say
"Well sorry I do what I want to do when it comes to my life!"
"Ok, both of you shut up." Violet says standing between us.
"Shut your mouth V." Alex says, "You don't know what you're talking about."
"And you do?" She asks, "You're sacrificing your own well being because of your inability to trust people!"
"No I don't!" Violet clenches and unclenches her fists.
"I want to punch you so badly right now." She says
"Do it, see what happens." Alex challenges
"I know what happens!" Violet almost yells, "I punch you and you loose control!"
"Then don't punch me!"
"Then don't be so punchable!" I step in between them. My thumb and index finger start glowing. I motion and bubbles appear around each of them.
"Both of you, control your temper." I say, "And get your shit together."
"Skye, are you ready?" I ask
"Yeah." She says
"Ok, Rain, Ash, Ivy and Bolt are gonna be here soon." I say. I pop the bubble around Alex.
"Go get ready." I say. I let Violet out.
"V, stay down here." I say. There's a knock on the door.
"Ivy!" Skye runs to the door.
"Skye!" I hear Ivy say. I walk over to the door.
"Hey guys." I say, "Alex is getting ready."
"Cool." Ash says, "Either of them kill each other yet?"
"Close." I say
"Ok itches." Alex says, "Let's go."
"Oh also." I say, "There's six of us who set of traces so we have to be careful."
"There's seven of us." Skye says
"Yeah."

"Ok, Oli, truth or dare?" Lizzie asks
"Truth." He says, "Your dares scare me."
"Ok." She thinks for a second, "You said you had a 'girlfriend,' what's her name?"
"Steph." He says
"Oooooh..." We all say in unison. He rolls his eyes.
"Scott, truth or dare?" He asks
"Dare because I'm scared of what you're gonna ask." He asks. Oli puts down a bottle in the middle of the circle.
"No!" Everyone shouts.
"I dare you to spin the bottle." He smirks. Scott groans. Oli backs out of the circle as he reaches over and spin the bottle. It slows down and lands on me.
"Yeah no." Scott gets up.
"Is he allowed to do that?" Lauren asks
"I mean... I'm fine with it." I say
"Of course you are." Shelby says. Luna pokes her head in the door.
"Can you guys keep it down?" She asks
"Yeah, sorry." Lizzie says. Shelby yawns.
"No! You're gonna make me yawn!" Yammy says. She yawns. Everyone goes around and yawns.
"I'm going to bed." Shelby says
"I'm going to go find Scott." I say. I get up and head downstairs.

"We're done playing truth or dare." I say
"Oh good." He says
"You never choose dare." I say
"Yeah, well, it's different when you play with mind readers." He says
"Why? We're you lying before?" I ask
"No." He says, "But I could if I needed to."
"Why would you need to lie?" I ask, "That's the truth in truth and dare."
"It's a bit... I dunno, I guess there's some things that I don't want people to know yet." He says
"It's Oli." I say, "The only thing he asks is if you have a crush and who it is."
"Yeah." He says
"Wait..." I say, "Do you like someone."
"No." He says, "But if they think I'm lying and read my mind-"
"They only look so far, right?" I ask
"Ari told me that secrets are hidden in every part of your brain." He says
"What are you so worried about anyways?" I ask
"I don't know." He says, "Well, I do, but I never realized how worried I was about someone finding out until we had mind reading friends."  I nod.
"That's reasonable." I say.
"You're not gonna ask?" He asks
"I mean, if we're having this conversation right now I figured it's personal." I say, "Do you want me to ask?"
"I don't know." He says
"Do you want me to ask and you can answer if you want?" I ask
"I don't know." He says, "I feel like I'm making this too big of a deal."
"Ok... well... What do you not want our friends to know?" I ask
"No, now I ruined the 'moment' and stuff." He says
"Ok." I say, "I'm gonna go to bed." I get up.
"If I tell you right now, will you go to bed and forget I told you?" He asks
"I'll try to forget." I say, "But I won't ask you any other questions." He nods.
"I'm gay." He says. I nod.
"Thanks for telling me." I say. I head back upstairs.
