-Later-
I had been dancing the night away with a range of people. New and old friends. After a while I had to sit down my feet hurt. I limped over to a chair. Taking my feet out of my shoes and then wiggling my toes.
"Hey !" Said a voice on my right. I looked and saw Reece. He wore a black suit with a white shirt and a black bow tie. He looked very handsome.
I smiled and said hello back. We both faced towards the dance floor. It was a tiny bit awkward.
"Well done on the awards." said Reece with a massive smile on his face.
I blushed and smiled. It meant a lot coming from him. Not just because I had a crush on him as a person but also as a performer. He really was a triple threat. He was so very skilled. He deserved all the awards that he ever got and lost.
"Thank you and the same to you." I replied smiling just as big as him.
"It's ok. Thank you." he acted a little coy.
"It's ok. Enjoying the party?" I asked still wiggling my toes.
He smiled and said "Yeah but I'd enjoy it more if you where to dance with me."
My heart jumped. He wanted to dance with me. He of all people. I tried not to smile too much. I did not want to give anything away.
"Oh really." I said with a smirk and the raise of an eyebrow.
"Yeah." he smirked back.
Still with a smirk on my face I stood up and offered him my hand. He took it and off we went to the dance floor. I tried not to have a fangirl moment.
He was a good dancer. He could do choreography. Which made dancing with him scary but I just tried my very best. We did nothing but dance and laugh.
After a while we had to stop not only because our feet hurt but also our faces. We sat back down together. He had been a gentlemen not touching me where he should not.
We spent hours talking, laughing about everything and nothing. We hit it off right way. It was like we had known each other for years. This only rarely happened to me. I was often guarded and people often found it hard to get to the real me. Somehow Reece didn't have this problem.
I needed to go to the toilet I felt safe leaving my phone with Reece. I never just left my phone with anyone only people I trusted a lot.
When I got back we talked for ages. Almost everyone had left. We decided to leave. We did not notice the time go by.
Reece let me share his car. We sat in the back chatting and joking. The journey was over in milliseconds. I wished that I could ask the driver to just keep driving around and around.
Reece walked me to the door.
"Good Night Becky. I really enjoyed tonight."
I smiled at him. It made me glad he felt the same way.
"Good Night Reece. I enjoyed tonight as well."
His face was plastered with a big grin.
"Becky..."
"Yes..."
I was worried about what he would say. If he was going to say that he wanted me to do a job that was why he was talking to me.
"Would you like to... I don't know... Go on a date?"
My heart bounced. I was almost sick and fainted at the same time. He was asking me out. Me of all people on the planet. My jaw was hanging open. I was waiting for people to pop out like this was some big joke.
"Yes of course Reece."
His smile was even bigger. He looked like the that had got the cream. We arranged to meet for lunch soon. He gave me a big hug and left.
