Evan Hansen, Jeremy Heere, Veronica Sawyer and Alexander Hamilton know each other, exist in the same time plane, and staged and wrote four musicals (Dear Evan Hansen, Be More Chill, Heathers and Hamilton) all on their own. They then sung all the pieces on their own (as a four-man band) then uploaded the songs on Youtube.
Naturally, someone in any one musical Googles up their name and instead of finding their own social media page they find countless Youtube links, fanfiction links, fanart links and whatnot.
Someone else goes outside and gets asked "oh hey are you cosplaying (character name here)" and the aforementioned character freaks out like "wait since when was I fictional"
Many similar situations occur, and they are all traced back to the four protagonists. Guess they have a lot of explaining to do...
(A/N: well in theory this would work for absolutely any fandom: character writes their story, others find out, they freak, hilarity ensues. I just decided to use these musicals as an example because why the heck not? The setting can either be in a universe where thr canon events happened, or just any AU.)
