Please give me a cover of Only Us, but with Germany and North Italy singing it. I beg of you.
Even though the pitch definitely doesn't fit (I mean if we want the context to fit Italy should be Evan Hansen, which means that Germany would have to be Zoe), the lyrics would.
Reasons:
It just fits so much it hurts.
To be honest Italy is kind of useless, which would fit why "he gave Germany ten thousand reasons not to let him go". And the ENTIRE FIRST VERSE would be Germany's response/consolation towards this statement.
The whole second verse would, refer to the World Wars.
"And what came before won't count anymore or matter"? Please. Just look at WWI and you'll see what I mean.(I'm sorry we're having a history exam on WWI on Friday. Don't judge.)
On a darker angle, "only us" could also be "yay the Axis conquered the worls now there's only us (and Japan third-wheeling)" ("We could watch the whole world disappear" *shivers*)
But yeah overall it would be really sweet if you don't overdo the "world domination" vibes.
