(A/N: Because I was playing Mother 3 recently and did not need the feels from that game so now I'm writing this as an outlet for my angst)

(Major Spoiler (Like half the plot) alert)

Canada/Matthew as Lucas

Canada finally gets to be the protagonist for once. Hooray! Well, you don't get to play as him until Chapter 4 (excluding the prologue), but that doesn't matter all that much. It almost fits with his personality, too. They're both shy/quiet, but are actually crouching badasses in a sense (Lucas has his PSI and Attack power, while Canada has his hockey and three-hour-long tongue lashings), plus they both have a twin. They are also both so sweet it makes me feel bad for putting them in angsty situations (of which Lucas already have tons of in canon, no thank you).

Canada could probably lecture Porky (or anyone, actually) so hard he actually cries. If anyone can do it, it's him. He's also easily mistaken for America/treated as invisible, so it would probably explain how some of the more outrageous stuff you can do in MOTHER 3 succeeds, as well as enabling him to do even more outrageous things.

Canada: (could probably enter the Clayman factory, steal a ticket for the cable car, use the Instant Revitalizing Device, then leave without anyone noticing, but works there anyway because he's too nice to steal and moving heavy stuff around is easy for him)

Canada: *enters Club Tittiboo with Kumajiro and no one bats an eye*

Canada: *manages to sneak up on enemies every time*

Canada: *enters Pigmask Base and gets confused for Alfred*

Canada: *manages to sneak up on a Boss enemy*

Canada: *manages to walk in front of, then right past the Ultimate Chimera, without triggering any response from it*

Canada: *manages to sneak past the Pigmask Army, including Fassad and the Masked Man, and pull the Needle as they (well, Fassad, at least) do their villainous monologue thingies*

Canada: (SNEAK 999)

America/Alfred as Claus

They're both energetic and outgoing (as well as hotheaded and reckless), acting as Canada's/Lucas' counterpart, and are one of two twins. There's also the interpretation of New Pork as extreme capitalist, is you feel like it, but that's not the main point. But since Claus gets brainwashed (with a truckload of angst on the side), America gets that too. Yay...?

The "playing with dragos" scene changes minutely in the aspect that the Daddy Drago actually collapses and isn't pretending because the North America siblings have an unholy abundance of physical strength and  would totally unknowingly abuse it as kids. America also can and will lift a drago by the tail and swing it to god knows where. America still nearly dies to the Mecha Drago though, for plot reasons. Without plot inhibitors, America would probably yeet the Mecha Drago off to space like Mario yeeting Bowser while saying "so long gay Bowser", then return home like nothing ever happened.

America:  Y E E T

Canada: Al please no

America would probably be devastated at having to be the villain/post-last boss, though.

America: Wait, I have to what-

Also, America, please give us MOTHER 3.

America: What does that even have to do with me? It has to do with Nintendo, jeez!
