Chapter 33- Duet

MacKenzie's POV

There's a knock at the door and Joe answers it. Sit on the couch and turn around so I can see who's at the door.

"Hey." Joe says, welcoming Barry in.

"Hey." Barry says. "Mack, HR just texted. We're needed at STAR Labs."

"Okay." I say. I put my book down on the coffee table and head out. "Bye, Joe. See you later."

I hop onto Barry's back and we go to STAR.

"B.A., someone's coming through." HR says as we walk into the breach room where a breach is.

"Could be Gypsy." Cisco says. 

"Could be, or it could be..." HR trails off as three people come through the breach. "Supergirl?" Kara is hanging limp in the arms of a man.

"Kara..." Barry breathes. "What happened to her?"

"We don't know, but whoever did it has come to this world." The other man says.

"Her vitals are low." Caitlin says after running a scan on Kara in the medbay. "How long has she been like this?"

"A few hours." The man says. I was told by Barry that his name is John or J'onn or...I don't really remember or know how to spell it. Right now, this is me narrating so for the sake of, well me and my limited spelling skills, we're gonna make this easy and call him John. 

"Okay, we need to find whoever did this to Kara and punch him repeatedly until he reverses whatever spell he put on her, and I get to punch him first." The man who was holding Kara says. 

"Who are you exactly?" Barry asks.

"My name is Mon-El." The man, Mon-El says. "I'm Kara's friend. We're more--more than friend. We've been kissing a lot."

"Oh, she never mentioned she had a boyfriend." Caitlin says. 

"It's a recent thing, so..." Mon-El says.

"I thought you two broke up." John says. 

"Shh..." Mon-El says.

"I tell you what, I know enough not to mention the break-up between Barry and uh--" HR starts but is cut off.

"H.R." Iris says. 

"Sorry." HR says, 

"Look, hey, whatever's going on between me and Kara, I cannot leave her like this, okay?" Mon-EL says. "I need to get her back."

"We will, I promise." Barry says. 

"So what happened to her?" Iris asks.

"An alien prisoner escaped our custody." John says. "He did something to her, put her in some kind of a coma."

"And then he disappeared. We tracked him here and followed." Mon-El says. 

"Okay, but why would he come to this Earth?" Iris asks.

"Well, we believe for you." John says, looking at Barry. 

"Me? Why?" Barry asks.

"We don't know. But his last words before he disappeared were about finding the fastest man alive." Mon-El says. 

"Okay, well, clearly, we're talking about a breacher here. And if there's one thing I can do, it's find breachers." Cisco says, and we all walk out into the cortex. 

"So what else can you tell us about this guy?" Barry asks John.

"Not much." John says. "It's like he just materialized out of thin air."
