MacKenzie's POV
"Well, everything's the same." Cisco says, taking his goggles off and coming out of a vibe. "The future has not changed."
"All right. Well, we have two months to make sure that it does." Barry says.
"Okay, well, we should approach this the same way we approach any other problem start with what we know." Caitlin says. "Problem can't be solved if it's not understood."
"Therein lies the rub. I feel like we can't understand any of this until it actually happens. It's like Savitar's prophecies." Cisco says.
"Precisely, and just like the newspaper headlines." Julian says. "Well, all bar one."
Joe, Barry, and Julian's phone all buzz.
"It's a crime scene." Joe says, pulling his phone out. "We gotta go."
"Stagg Industries?" Barry asks.
"All right, no." Julian says and they start leaving.
"Hey, Julian, before you go, there was an envelope delivered for you from the Central City Opera." Caitlin says, stopping Julian.
"Yes, you'd mentioned that you'd never gone before, so well, I got them for us a while back, but now just go with whoever you'd like." Julian says. Then he leaves.
"Yowch." I say.
"Huh. Looks like things between you and Julian are a little frosty, huh?" Cisco asks. "It's too soon for the cold puns?"
"Yeah." Caitlin says.
"Yeah. Thought so." Cisco says.
"He still doesn't trust me after I lied about taking a piece of the Philosopher's Stone." Caitlin says.
"You did what you felt you needed to do to get rid of your powers." Cisco says.
"I know that and you know that, but he..." Caitlin trails off.
"He'll come around. Watch." Cisco says.
"I don't know that he will, Cisco." Caitlin says, leaving.
***
"Looks like we got a robbery in progress over at Kord Industries." Cisco says, calling Barry.
Whoosh.
I'm sped out of STAR Labs.
Don't know where I'm going but I hold on tight to Barry.
He skids to a stop and puts me down. I look around and we're in a building.
A man walks down the stairs.
"I don't think that's yours, pal." Barry says.
"Flash." The man says.
"You didn't think I'd want to come meet the newest resident of Iron Heights?" Barry asks.
"No, I assumed that you'd show. I just didn't expect you to be so young, Barry Allen." The man says.
"Now, how do you know who I am?" Barry says.
"I'm from the future." The man says. Barry and I give each other a look of disbelief.
"You don't believe me? Let's see, uh, 2017. Hmm." The man thinks. "How are things going with your doomed love, Iris West? Or your greatest foe, Savitar?"
"You know Savitar." The man says.
"I know everything about him, and you." The man says. "And your little sidekick, MacKenzie Raymond, was it? How are your quakes? By this year, they should be pretty strong. Hopefully strong enough when you go up against Savitar."
