Alex's pov
It's been a while since I last saw my father and if I'm being honest it's a relief, I no longer have to worry about being a few minutes late home after school or getting beaten every time I make a mistake or say the wrong thing to him. I could now live my life how I wanted without worrying about being judged for every wrong move I make.
