Vic's POV

I smiled as Alan laid on the couch with me, his head on my lap as my fingers ran through his hair. He was so ridiculously beautiful.

"That tickles," he mumbled, his eyes fluttering open as he turned around to look at me.

"I'm sorry," I said with a smile. He narrowed his eyes at me.

"Are you?" He asked.

"I am, I am so very sorry," I said solemnly. Alan grinned and leaned up, flicking my nose ring softly.

"I thought pastors couldn't have facial piercings."

"This pastor breaks the rules," I said, running my finger along the bridge of his nose.

"Well I like that you did. I used to have my nose pierced too."

"You should get it repierced, it would look cute on you."

He shrugged, "I don't know if my nose could deal with that again."

"Do it on the other side. It'd look cute on you."

"i could get one I guess. I brought my money with so I can afford it, but I think I should save it. I don't wanna like mooch off you and stay here forever and be annoying."

"You're not annoying at all and I don't think you're mooching," I said and gave him a soft kiss. "Not at all."

"I feel like I am."

"Well you're not," I said. I really didn't want him to leave, he wasn't safe if he left here. And aside from that, I'd miss him.

"If you say so," He said giving me a smile.

"What is it?" I asked, my fingers still roaming through his hair.

"Nothing why?"

"Just wondering," I hummed.

"What are you plans today?" He asked.

"I have some stuff for work I need to get done and then write my sermon for the week. I might go hang out with Alice but I'm not happy with her so probably not."

"Why aren't you happy with her?"

"She doesn't think doing an outreach program is a good idea. No one in the church does. They'd all rather just- just sit on their butts and act like a Christian when it's convenient to them!"

He took my hand, "sorry they're not helping. I think what you're doing is amazing and sweet and so thoughtful."

I smiled at him. "I'm glad you think so."

"It's really awesome," he said, "Like I didn't think there were people who really wanted to help others out there."

"I've always wanted to help others," I said.

"And that's amazing. I admire that."

I leaned down and kissed the tip of his nose. "Thank you."."

"You're welcome."

"How are you feeling?"

"Pretty good, what about you?"

"I'm good. I'm not the one dealing with withdrawals though."

"So? I've barely been paying attention to you."

"Ash I'm completely okay. I'm worried about you."

"And I'm gonna be fine. I'm good, I haven't had any like crazy mood swings today or like I haven't hurt myself or anything like that. I'm fine."
