Alan's POV

Wendy and I were laying in the grass in the backyard of the house. It was late and Vic had to go to the church and do something.  It was getting pretty late, but he had some fundraising or something like that coming up so it was a big thing to prep for.

It was nice to hang out with Wendy since I'd been spending most of my time with Vic lately. He was constantly on my mine, but I knew I wanted to make some time for my best friend so I did.  She and I were passing a joint between the two of us. I hadn't smoked in ages and it was nice to just relax and do it for fun.

"I miss you." Wendy said with a sigh.

"I miss you, too."

She gave me a small smile. "I'm glad you left with me."

"I should've got you before I left. I felt bad for just leaving so suddenly on you," I said before taking a long hit.

"After what I heard happened to you, I understand."

I looked over to her, "You're an amazing friend."

"So are you," she said with a small smile. "We can't keep mooching off of Vic though, we gotta get real jobs."

"I know," I giggled, "I don't wanna mooch off him, but he always tells me to not worry about a job and relax."

"I know but we gotta. I'm scared to, i don't want dick face mcgee to find us."

I nodded, "I'm terrified."

"I know, I am too. I don't know what to do about it."

"I don't either," I said sitting up and taking another hit, "Fuck, I can barely function sometimes because I think about him finding you or me and- and I don't want him to hurt us anymore."

"What are you guys doing?" I heard Vic say.

I turned my head around and looked at Vic with wide eyes. The joint was hanging loose in my fingers. I didn't know how he'd react to Wendy and I smoking back here.

He looked at the joint and let out a sigh. "Put it out and come inside," he said shortly before going inside himself.

"Uh oh," I said taking one more hit before Wendy finished it. I went inside, "Vince?"

Vic didn't say anything and I let out a sigh as I looked around the house for him. I looked in the kitchen and didn't see him before I went into the living room. I bit back my lip as I giggled a little. I was too giggly to have a serious conversation, oh no.

"Vee?" I said finding him in the living room on the couch. I giggled again, "Are you mad?"

"No," he said shortly. "Go to bed."

I frowned, "I'm sorry."

"Don't worry about it."

I walked over and sat down by him but he moved away, "Do you hate me now?"

"No I don't hate you Alan."

"Aren't you gonna come to bed with me? We're going to church in the morning right?"

"I don't want to smell that."

"I don't smell like it though," I said, "We smoked outside."

"Your hair smells like it."

"I can shower," I said holding back a little giggle.

"Go to bed."

I whined and reached for his hand, but he pulled it away before I could. I frowned before I got up and went upstairs. I didn't even go to our room, I went to the one I had when I first got here. I couldn't believe he was so mad at me and it was all my fault. I was an idiot. Why would I be so stupid and smoke knowing he didn't like it?I knew better. He was going to break up with me because of this, and then he was going to kick me out.
