i woke up to the sound of wind blowing outside. i looked that it was snowing and the wind that blew made the naked branches shake, making them suffer, looking like they were about to break in any second. the weather looked cold, dark, gloomy; it was one of those days when you just don't want to leave your bed.

i glanced at my clock on my wall to see that it was only 8:57 am. i did not have school, considering it was just a saturday. i got up from my bed and dressed myself up in some warm clothes. i thought of you for some reason, you did remind me of the cold weather frankly.

i got out of my room and made my way to the kitchen. the house was, for some reason empty and it felt kinda sad. as i got into the kitchen i was greeted with cookies and flowers on the kitchen table. there was a small note on it; i opened it to see that it was from my mother : ' songul, me and ilsung already left for work. we left you some money so you can go out for breakfast. p.s a cute mint haired boy brought this for you xx '

i examined the note for a while until looking back again at the beautiful flowers that were displayed in front of me. they were red roses, my favorite.

i took the money that my mother left me, took my coat and exited the house. i made my way to the café i always went to.

all the shops were full again, and i for a second i forgot that today was new years eve. i shook my head and just ignored the fact that i haven't prepared anything and that i wasn't invited to any parties. it didn't really bother me, i wasn't a social person myself.

my thoughts interupted as i bumped into someone. ' oh, i'm sorry, i wasn't really paying attention ' i looked up to the person to see that they indeed were not unfamiliar. 'i could tell' he spoke with his deep voice that i always found somewhat attractive. 'taehyung, kim taehyung' i said slowly, his name rolling off of my tongue so sweetly like honey.

'that's me indeed. haven't seen you that much since school started. how have you been songul?' every single word that he said sounded smooth like butter. 'really good, not going to lie. school's been keeping me the bussiest i guess' he chuckled 'still the same study bee as usual i see' i smiled.

'i see you were heading to your infamous, favorite café' i nodded. 'then let me go with you, i will pay for your coffee' 'you know that there is no need, taehyung' he looked at me, his smile never leaving his face 'i insist madam' i smiled 'still a gentleman as usual i see' he laughed. oh god his laugh, it sounded so beautiful. like the most astonishing melody my ears have ever heard.

'so let's go inside, shall we? we have a lot to catch up on my love' i blushed at the nickname, but still nodded none the less. we entered the café, and almost instantly we were greeted with the warmth from the inside and the smell of all kinds of coffee. we found a small table and sat there, staring at each other.

now, that i've gotten a closer look of his face he looks so stunning. his face, probably sculpted by angels themselves, held so many imperfections that they were still yet so perfect. i remember him as the young boy from high school who was so dorky and jumpy, but now he has grown into a young dazzling man.

'enjoying the view mrs. songul?' he smirked and i felt my cheeks burn. 'i mean, i am enjoying seeing what i missed in high school' my eyes widened in realisation what i said while he remained calm and unbothered. 'now that i'm looking at you, now i see what i missed in high school too' he winked at me while i turned my head to the side, trying to somehow escape his stare.

as i was looking at the side, my eyes captured the mint mop of hair walking into the café. you did see me, and i waved at you in hopes that you will walk over or just say something in general; i was wrong, instead you looked at me then at taehyung and just exited the café, walking away not even turning back for one second.
