Chapter 8: Bad Girl turned Good?

 Naomi and her friends were in the garden with Em having their lunch. Naomi didn't want to be in the canteen because one, Ghaille's there and second, she didn't want to see her for personal reasons. "Naomi, I noticed you've been avoiding Ghaille lately" said one of her friends

Naomi looked at her questioningly "What are you talking about? I always avoid her"

"No girl. This is different. Before, when you meet in the hallway, you walk straight on. But now, you take a detour. Boo boo something's up"

"I have no idea what you guys are talking about" Naomi denied

Inside her thoughts. She knows why she's avoiding the other girl. She's been feeling strange whenever the other girl is near. Before even by just imagining Ghaille's face, she feels irritated. But now, she's not that annoyed anymore.

"How about you, Em? Is the other Pendleton still tailing you?" asked Vivian to the other girl

"Well, this past few days. She hasn't actually" Ember replied. Now thinking about it, Brix haven't really annoyed her that much these passed few days 

"Strange, she's always beside you"

"Speaking of Brix" said Rhynne beside them pointing girl not far from them. She's talking to a teacher. Everyone's eyes darted to the girl by the building

"Maybe she got in trouble again" said Vivian

"No, she's holding a book" Naomi noticed

"Huh, looks like the bad girl turned good because of you" Rhynne turned to Ember "you must feel honoured that you are the reason why the oh so great heart breaker  finally matured up"

They watch Brix step inside the building with the teacher she was talkign to. Moments passes by and Ember was walking when she saw Brix seating under a tree. 

She paused for a moment. 

A smile crept up her face without her realizing it. 'She's actually pretty cute, sometimes' she thought but shook that thought off. She never knew the Brix Pendleton she was warned about can be sensible.

"You know, she's not as bad as everyone thinks" said Naomi startling the girl  "I grew up with them and Brix wasn't always a trouble maker. Under that leather jacket and sarcastic demeanour, she's actually not that bad"

They both looked at the girl under the tree. Naomi tapped Ember's shoulder "I'll go ahead I have a meeting to attend to"

"Ok" Ember replied and watch her friend go.

When she looked back at the girl she was gone. She looked around but nothing until "Looking someone?" said Brix behind her

"Brix!" replied Ember holding unto her chest 

"I decided to make a move cuz you were just staring me, admiring the view. I get it" said Brix making Ember's cheeks heat up

'And she's back' Em thought

"So, any plans today?" Brix asked

"Well, I was just thinking on taking up that tour you were offering" Em replied

Brix's eyes grew wider "For reals?" she asked and Em nodded

"Are you going to take me or what?" Em asked walking backwards. They got on Brix's car "So, where are you taking me?" she asked

Brix panicked because she didn't expect this to happen. She knows that this girl already knows every spot in the city so, she need to come up with something. "Wait a sec" she said and got off the car leaving Em puzzled.
